Where to now for Joseph Parker??

Joseph Parker lost to Joshua, but was at least the first man to go the distance with him. Then he lost to Whyte, a head butt knockdown in round 2 costing him 3 points and possibly the fight.

Whatever the details, Joseph Parker has lost his past two fights and probably needs to reassess where he is going and who is going with him.

Is it now time to part with Kevin Barry?

Should Parker take a confidence boosting fight next up? Or should he continue aiming at the top dogs?

Perhaps Parker should take his millions, hang up the gloves and go fishing?

Parker is too young and hasn't been in many tough fights. He definitely needs to try something new in the training process, maybe find a new coach. He should win some lower level opponents to regain confidence and then try again to enter the higher level.

I think Kevin Barry might have expired his use-by date with Parker. But it is hard to see them parting ways.

Back to the drawing board.

A few easy local fights against the likes of Alex Leapai or Big Daddy, then a step back up in class to see if the hunger is still there.

Spot on there if he fought them two in that order before taking a look at the lower end of the top 10 he's back in the mix. I think Joe could end up similar to George Groves as he's still only 26 and has plenty of time to polish the already decent skill set he has.

p.s. hope you don't mind me jumping on this discussion in Aus/NZ i lived there for 5 years only returned a couple of years ago so saw a lot of Parkers fights.

An even more 'local' fight might be shaping up between Joseph Parker and Junior Fa. But surely that's a fight that won't happen in the short-term?
