Whose?

Not that he's done anything to deserve it. It's very hard to see how you can fail to beat any top-tier fighters and still garner a top 15 rating, especially if you've been inactive for over a year.

Good, it's about time he got another world title shot.

Looks like someone is looking for an easy title defence. So they've jumped Paul Smith back in the rating to be able to make the fight happen.

I can't find it either. Eubank vs Smith for some WBA eliminator on undercard in SA? Can't think any logical reason why he would enter their rankings.

Probably be Fielding's first defence.

lol suspected something like this would happen, with fielding having a belt another shot for smigga seems inevitable!

This is even worse than the boxer who moved up the IBF rankings after he had died!

That's happened twice that I know of, one was Ali Ramyi with the WBA after he'd been killed in an airstrike and the other one was Darrin Morris who the WBO moved up the rankings TWICE before realising he was dead. :KO:

Wasn't Ali Ramyi the Arabic dude who was like 20-0 and only ever fought unbeaten opponents? (True definition of the words 'padded record')

Even so, a dead Ali Ramyi is just as deserving of a ranking as Paul Smith, who looks like he has eaten Ali Ramyi.

Sergei Kobozev was the dude the IBF continued to rank, to be fair he did go missing for a while.

I can't find him in the rankings either.
Where has the OP got this info?
On the wba official rankings Smith isn't in top 15. The list was updated on 1st Aug.

I don’t box regular, in fact the last time I was in a ring was when I knocked Joshua out in sparring a few years back. However, as out of practice as I am I believe I would easily take Smigga into deep waters and deliver a brutal one sided beatdown on him.

I’d take little to no pleasure in this, but I would demand one of his jackets for the effort.

Good old pasty flabby Smugga, the scouser we all hate to love.

The one I saw had Fielding as champion so must be recent.

It is beyond a joke yes, but I always think he is a bit hard done by on here. He aint a bad boxer. Fielding vs Smigga after Fielding lost to Callum would have been seen as a good fight.

Yes, he should beat at least a decent domestic level fighter first, but its not like he did not embarrass himself against Abraham twice and Zeuge - yes, lost two of these decisively, but was competitive. Okay, we can forget about the Ward debacle.
