A highly decorated amateur boxer. Why did he struggle so much to adapt and continue his success in the pro game?

Sometimes that happens. Bobick also beat Holmes in the amatuers, but had no big success in the pros. I've read, that Bentt had notorious chin issues, that's why Morrison's team chose him, they though Tommy would knock him out easily and would be free to sign the contract for Lewis fight. But something went wrong. Actually Bentt's chin almost spoiled everything for him, he was dazed by Morrison, but that ironically helped Michael, as Tommy recklessly went for the kill allowing Bentt to land money punch.

I heard that Bentt suffered some kind of neurological damage as a pro. After his loss to Herbie Hide, the injury was discovered. So Bentt retired immediately.

How is he doing today, BTW? Hope he's doing well for himself. He was smart to retire early. I apologize in that my question is somewhat off topic.

Although his Wikipedia page - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Bentt - doesn't appear to have been updated since 2013, he seems to be doing quite well in TV and film. He also has his own website.
