So it looks like three UK PPVs in three weeks…

As this sort of thing happens more and more, personally I am happy to make adjustments and don't need to see it "live" on TV. Am happy to save my pennies and watch it online the next day. I don't mind the occasional "event" where I will pay for it and have my mates round but otherwise they're not getting a penny from me. I cancelled Sky sports months back and still watch everything I need to watch.

Fvck Canelo, I’m not paying my hard earned money to see him run away and get another gift from the judges.

Cant stay up until 5/6 to watch this so not too bothered about it being PPV or not. Will wake up in morming and a quick search then I should be able to watch it for free.
Can't imagine this doing too much buys unless there was some UK leg which ain't going to happen given the notice.

I’ll probably get the Joshua fight, mainly cos some mates will come over and chip in. Not bothering with the other two. Plus I wouldn’t trust BT Sport to put on their first PPV with no teething problems.

Groves and Smith I'll happily pay £10 for
Canelo GGG is a bona fide superfight I'll happily pay £20 for
Watching AJ beat up a washed up twice convicted drug cheat who had trouble with Price last time out isn't worth £20 imo

Trouble with GGG Canelo is we know what’s gonna happen don’t we ?
Neither is knocking the other out, it’ll be a close repeat of the last one with a set of dodgy judges deciding who gets it this time.
Plus Alvarez the cheating bandit should be serving a long ban.

Both Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez were well under the 176 lbs weight limit for the WBC 30-day weight check ahead of their middleweight title fight rematch.
A few years ago, the WBC mandated for title fights that weight checks be conducted at the 30-day and 7-day marks ahead of the actual bout. At 30 days, boxers cannot be 10% over the contracted limit, and they are forbidden from being 5% over at the 7-day weight check.
Unlike their first matchup, which ended in a controversial split draw, Alvarez is actually competing for the WBC belt this time, so he is participating in the mandatory weight checks, and came in at 167.4 lbs. As for Golovkin, his weight was recorded at 168.3 lbs.

i jist looked at the rings middleweight rankings. canelo is gone! must be because of the failed test. i like the ring mag, but i think ggg should have got the title once he unified the belts and canelo didnt fight him. is this one for the ring belt, as i think the last one was supposed to be?

What a difficult sport to be a fan of, I love the game but im afraid the days of watching fights as they are happening are becoming a distant memory for me, its becoming unaffordable for me which is a real shame.

I tipped Alvarez to win the first fight but had Golovkin winning 116-112, thought his pressure overwhelmed Canelo at times and Alvarez just wasn't busy enough in a lot of the rounds, in saying that I don't think the draw was the worst result i'd seen, the Adaleide Byrd score for Canelo just ruined the whole thing
Ive went right off Alvarez, between the result and the failed test to the way he's conducted himself after pissing hot just leaves a bad taste, he's shown no respect to Golovkin or the sport, I'm praying Golovkin wins this one and if he were to KO Alvarez then it'd go down as one of my favourite results ever
I doubt that happens though and TBH I have a sneaky feeling Canelo wins a close one, Golovkin 36 now, two hard training camps since the first fight whilst Canelo has had a rest, surgery and time to recouperate, I'm hoping to see a much worse Alvarez seeing as he should be clean for the first time in his career but I'm thinking the smaller less stiff Canelo might actually work in his favour, I think he'll be able to move better, spend less time on the ropes and be a bit quicker and sharper
Canelo's an excellent counter puncher and probably has more strings than Golovkin who'll fight pretty much the same with the intention of adding more urgency, more pressure with his feet and maybe trying to slow Alvarez down to the body
I see Canelo winning on points, i'd be surprised to see a KO but if there is then I reckon Canelo scores it, Golovkin is obviously uber tough but everyone can be KO'd especially as 36 when up against a strong hombre like Alvarez
In saying all that War Golovkin
