Been mandated from the bbbofc. What a fight to be made and we are buzzing to get it. Ronnie has alot of respect for Sam and Carl and how they go about their work. No social media just business but we're coming to take his title.

Thought Bowen had a voluntary next? Wasn't he meant to be fighting Cacace then Ronnie at end of the year?

Hes fighting Joyce this month in a fight hes arguably underdog. If he loses that he loses his mandatory shot.

Not sure how many listen to it but Bowen and Carl Greaves were on the Boxing Asylum podcast the other night if anyone wants to hear their thoughts on this and a couple of other fights. Both on between about 20 and 50 mins in I think.

When did he injure his hand? - about 5 minutes after he heard about this fight?
Not that I blame him - although its a tough fight this one.

I'd heard last week he'd injured his hand. Don't think Limond is on that card anymore either.

Ronnie has been off the card since the 14th of July. He broke his hand. All medical certificates and xrays sent to relevant party's so don't insinuate Ronnie did not want the fight cause trust me he did. Headlining in scotland was a dream. Its a hard fight but hey surely all fights should be hard? He wants to test himself against the best. Ronnie is not maxi hughes. Maxi can't dig and Ronnie has been there and done it whereas Sam is yet to have a real test. We have all seen what Ronnie is capable of. Sam is a genuine fighter and it makes to be a classic.

Absolutely buzzing for Ronnie and his team, loads will see Ronnie as the underdog in the fight but that is a tag that Ronnie thrives on and imo this could be fight of the year

Think it's gone to purse bids, be interesting to see who puts bids in for it

Ronnie has a broken hand at minute but it is healing. The fight has to take place before December so he should be ready by then. He wanted to beat Joyce and then fight Bowen as he always knew he was going to be the mandatory. As for purse bid the two obvious ones are bt and mtk who I think may fancy it. I also think Mark Dunlop will want this fight as I imagine bt will try go in with a rubbish offer. Ronnie loves being the underdog and this fight will be no different.

Think it's gonna be Marco McCullough as Bowens voluntary next and not Cacace. Providing Marco comes through Sat victorious and unscathed.

Bowen takes a voluntary on Oct 6th. Against Who?
McCrory is out. Greaves says opponents thin on the ground. Looking at top 15 on boxrec there is only 3 possible opponent to face, Barrett Cacace and McCullough. The rest are not available.
Greaves has said he won't face Cacace until he's mandatory, even thought he will vacated by then! Warren won't put Barrett v Bowen together. And Marco fight won't happen.
Interesting to see what happens :-)

It's Marco McCullogh who's getting the fight. I amnt sure why Warren wouldn't put zelfa in to be honest although I think zelfa struggles at weight.

Hasn't Barret fought at Welter before or am I imagining that?

Alot of fighters do mate. Walk about weight which is worrying. Zelfa is huge for the weight and I can't help but think they are taking something away from him. Shame but end of day his team's issue. It's like cacace he's huge and they ruin themself making the weight, ward could have took his shots all day long cause just takes to much out them. Weight is a big thing in boxing. It's a shame that real fights can't be made. Andy ayling at the helm for bt nothing will get done. The man is clueless. He's not gonna match certain people for say Woodstock. The whole.of boxing is riddled with conflict of interests.

Joyce is saying Clark never wanted the fight and there is no proof of injury. Who were the "relevant parties"you sent the xrays and medical certificates as i would have presumed they were someone who should have recieved this information

They have seen the proof this is just a publicity stunt by someone no one really knows. Anyone who believes that Ronnie is scared of David Oliver Joyce is barking mad.. Zelfa Barrett is far better in ever department that Joyce.. Boys clearly deluded decent amateur who lost every time he stepped up to a decent level.. We were all gutted this fight fell through as we knew this was a fight that would of been good for Ronnie
