I have an instant man crush on Seiya Meguro, his debut screams "like me, I'm fun"

I dropped $5 on a 1-month ESPN+ subscription to watch this just out of curiosity. Thought it was a minor robbery, which is rare when the hometown fighter is the one being robbed. It was a competitive fight but Doheny slowed down a lot in the 2nd half of the fight. Judges must have given him pretty much all the early rounds due to his slightly superior workrate. Iwasa did do a lot of holding on the inside which didn't flatter him.

Japan weirdly enough robs their own damn fighters sometimes. Absolutely bizarre.

Try watching it again without Teddy Atlas blabbering on. Iwasa stated he thought he'd loss, his trainer/promoter Celes Kobayashi was telling him he needed a KD after 8 rounds and the Irish fans were chanting easy... No one in the venue seemed to question it at all.

I dunno about that. It wasn't just Teddy, I had it 115-113 Iwasa, and BLH had it 116-112 Iwasa. Punchstats were close with Iwasa scoring more power shots and Doheny more jabs. That 117-112 card was absolutely ridiculous and somehow managed to give a 10-10 round in the 11th when Doheny looked like he was about to fall over.

Dubious decision, IMO.
