Bryant Jennings is a 12/1 favorite against Alexander Dimentriko?

Why???

Jennings looked very average against Joey Dawejko, honestly Jennings has never beaten anyone that's even close to Dimitrenko....AND Dimitrenko is 41-3 and his 3 losses came to Pulev, Joseph Parker and Eddie Chambers

How is Jennings favored at all...let alone 12/1...do people actually think he's that great...he's not

on the other hand, dimitrenko only originally managed a draw vs a guy kabayel destroyed in 3. trenko is mentally a baby

Jennings on points for me. Too mobile and busy for Dimitrenko.

I would never bet on Dimitrenko vs anyone at least top 50.

I saw a bet like if the fight will last more than 4 rounds and it was like 4.5 to 1, it's worth of betting. Bet on Dimitrenko is, in my opinion, waste of money

Pretty much only loses to top guys.

I wouldn't call Jennings a top guy, so I could see where the fight might be somewhat competitive.

Jennings certainly isn't going to beat any of the top tier contenders either.

I think Jennings will win but he is more 3-1 on than 12-1 on. If the RIGHT Dimitrenko turns up it could be a tough night and if Bryant is not so good these days and tires Dimitrenko could easily outscore him.

It could also be an early blow out where AD does not really fancy a fight.

One of those strange value bets.

The 2 online books that I use now list Jennings as a 1-20 favorite.

In truth, it is an overblown line on a heavy who's really not all that special.

Strange value bets is Povetkin vs Joshua. I think that Povetkin got better chance vs AJ than Dimitrenko vs Jennings

I don't give either a good chance to win (Joshua is up to a 1-16 favorite after opening at 1-10) but if I had to pick one, I'd go with Dimitrenko to pull off the upset.

Against Price, Povetkin had the look of a fighter whose legs really aren't there anymore.

He was fortunate he could easily get out of trouble by whacking Price on that soft chin.

Jennings is durable but sometimes he just goes through the motions, only doing enough to win.

When he struggled with Perez, I figured that he wasn't a serious contender.

Jennings is actually 1-20.

Gonna let you in on a little secret....Dimitrenko SUCKS. People gave him credit for beating Granat who has turned out to be a clumsy bum with glass in his chin. He's failed against the other 3 real fighters he faced. Dimitrenko will need to KO Jennings since he's fighting him in his backyard. Jennings has only ever been stopped by Luis Ortiz (and that fight was even on the cards through 6 before Ortiz stopped him). If Wlad doesnt stop you what do you think the chances are Dimitrenko will? Dimitrenko is a faded fossil. He was kinda sorta alright 5 years ago. He sucks now. Jennings will win comfortably. Joey Dawejko is a better fighter than Dimitrenko. Dimitrenko is sooooooo slow, Jennings is a great athlete for a heavyweight. Very mobile and very durable. Easy fight they are giving Jennings before Top Rank cashes him out against a big name in another country. 10 years ago, when Dimitrenko was a much better fighter, he lost a decision to Eddie Chambers who is a smaller poor man's version of Jennings. How is he going to beat a better version of Jennings 10 yrs later who has a 10 inch larger reach than Chambers and even better athleticism? The odds may be a tick wide but theres no value on a lost bet. Betting on Dimi is flushing money away.

Bettors must be reading the negative reviews here on Dimitrenko.

Because he sucks. I don’t know why or when you got the impression he is any good. Especially in the last several years. Jennings is not great but he’s good and steady. And he’s home. Dimitrenko is...not good.

I've never thought that Dimitrenko is anything special. Maybe a C+ fighter.

It'sjyst that I don't regard Jennings as a very special fighter either. Definitely above Dimitrenko, but to me he's just B+.

With those grades I don't consider Jennings worthy of bring a 1-12 choice, much less 1-25.

Jennings is not that superior a fighter.

The odds suggest quick blowout, but it's really a fight that figures to go rounds, and Dimitrenko might win a few of them.

Jennings is better than you think. His losses are Ortiz and Wlad. The Wlad fight was relatively competitive. He was even on the cards thru 6 before Ortiz knocked him out. The guy is a pretty good fighter. Pulev beat Dimitrenko easily. Do you think he is “special”? I do agree the odds are a tick wide but I suggest you keep your money in your pocket considering the location of this fight.

It's hard to argue with success but 25-1 in a two horse race seems enormously risky for a bookie to me. I mean even Wilder v Stiverne III isn't guaranteed because of cuts or injuries (mind you, I'm not saying 25-1 wouldn't be poor odds in the circumstances).

With hindsight Jennings did the expected but he had to climb off the canvas having been hit hard. If Dimitrenko had found him with another straight away those odds might now be looking considerably more foolish.
