The Klitchko's have announced that from now on they will be promoting their own shows. They have announced that Shelly Finkel will be advicing the career, but they will be doing the promoting.

We all knew how the promoting effected Audley Harrison's early career, he even cited it as a source of distraction. Has this move placed the ball more into Williams corner for their proposed fight? Indeed, will there now be a fight?

Secondly, with Shelly Finkel still working with Mike Tyson, what does the move of appointing Shelly Finkel do with regard to a future fight with Tyson (for either brother). Tyson is still the golden goose (regardless of how many defeats he has) - does this move increase the likelihood of a fight or make it less likely.

The Klits will always have a problem, unless they sign with DK. He holds most of the cards, and he's doing his best to keep it that way.

Finkel is a bad choice for me, he's a dodgy bastard. From what I read on Butt-Talk.Vomit, two people (Murad Muhammad/Ted Watley) have confirmed Tyson could have made 20 million for another fight instead of the 7 million he made against Williams. Finkel might want to much control of the Klits, however, they are pretty smart, so maybe they will be ok.

I think the difference is the Klitschko's are already established whereas Harrison was promoting himself from day 1. DK holds all the aces at heavyweight, other than the WBC belt of course but I bet he'll try and get his hands on it soon enough.

007, what I meant in the comparison was with regard to in ring performance. I am sure I read Harrison mention the promoting as a distraction, hence a few (well many) substandard performances, especially earlier on in his pro career.

Will the distraction effect Klitchko's training for the Williams fight?

They should sign with allegedly. They'd never lose again.

It does mean they'd have about 400 matches in a row with Derek McAfferty though.

It means they'll keep more of their hard earned $$$$$$$$$$$$, but I guess they will have to reach some sort of agreement with Don King sooner or later - if they really want to try and unify the titles.

I think they should team up, and try to take the tag team championships.

I don't think it's a bad thing really. If you have the time and energy then why not promote yourself? Cut out the middle man and earn yourself more cash!
