Never been put down in a fight thats pro and Amature is this right??

If so guy must have some chin,,,, hes been in with some decent fighters.
Also what u think the nxt move is for him??? would be so much better if Calzaghe was fighting him on 22nd of this month instead of sum bum ( got my tickets today by the way just as three of my friends are fighting on the show,, gary young, scott forsyth and scott flynn.)

Definitely tough. If he was capable of throwing more than half a dozen punches a round he'd be pretty formidable.

I'd like to see him in with Froch next, Froch has been shooting his mouth off lately calling him out.

Think it might be a great match up, Reids chin is excellent so he wouldn't fold as Hauge did. The one thing i find wrong with Reid is his workrate, seems to have slowed down with age.

Froch would start off quickly, but will he be able to take the pressure that Reid would put on him.

I'm undecided on who would win, i can see Froch's workrate and skills outpointing Reid. Or Reid catching Froch later in the fight for a late round KO, kind of a Thompson v Haye .

that really is amazing then,, must be pure rock chin and saying that looks like a bit of a pretty boy,, i think reid wud nail froch, guess its kinda like haye thompson but if you ask me thompson is pretty much shot compared to how he was, he can still do a job with his heart and punch but not as he good, as for reid still think if hes fired up he can do it, wud fancy him to shut frochs big mouth..

Yeah Reid has a much better chin than Thompson, i meant that i can see Reid stopping Froch late on in a fight, after Froch has landed with some bombs

Much as i dislike Froch, i think that if he was to get a fight Reid soon he could catch him at the right time. Looking at Reid's last few fights, i'm starting to lean towards a points win for Froch.

Froch seems to have a decent enough chin to rule out a single shot KO against Reid (who doesn't really hit all that hard). And the way Reid's fought over the last couple of years, he doesn't appear to have the stamina to throw combinations anymore (not that he ever really did). I just think topper's right, and Froch would get this one on workrate alone.

But, back on original topic, Reid has a great chin. I don't recall ever seeing him staggered, not even for a second. Outboxed yes. Hurt, never.

Seriously though, Rob may have the model good looks etc, but he is one real tough nut always up for a fight. Against Magee, I felt that he thought that after the Ottke debacle, he could try to use the ref to his advantage. Shame he didn't finish Magee when he had him in trouble.

Rob should get another major title fight and stop wasting his time with the likes of Froch.

I'd like to see this fight, great domestic matchup, but Reid probably would want a huge payday to risk it against Froch. If he did beat Froch, he'd get a lot of bragging rights, but I don't know that it would help his case internationally that much.

It's an intriguing one. Thing is, unlike Haye, Froch showed he can pace himself for 12 rounds now, and he seems to have a bloody good chin. I have a feeling he might outwork Reid down the stretch, but Reid hits hard enough to tickle his beard and find out how good it really is, and he's a good counterboxer too. Froch has the better handspeed, and seems to have very good timing.

If Froch managed to stop Reid, you would have to say his punchpower was for real.

Reids options in regard to getting a shot at a major title are limited, Cristian Sanavia V Markus Beyer box this weekend in a rematch for the WBC title, the winner then has to face Danny Green, so that ties up that one for a while.

Calazghe doesn't want to face him again, after just getting by him the first time.

Jeff lacy will want a couple of easy defenses first, can't see the managers of Lacy wanting to put him in with Reid in a first defense.

The only title he may get a shot at is the WBA, Manny Siaca V Mads Larsen is on for 12/11/04 , may be able to get a shot at the winner. If Siaca wins , he seems to be a road champion fighting in the challengers backyard.

Yep, none of those are big money fights, arguably in 2-3 fights time, with the Froch bandwagon gaining momentum, he could probably earn as much fighting Froch as those guys, it's not like any of them are fornicating huge drawers.

I would like to see Reid try to prove his case for a big fight if he is still up to it, I didn't see the magee fight so Im not sure how he is looking but I think that if he had 2 good fights in the next 6 months he could challenge a big draw like lacy or maybe Calzageh and ether get a real title or a retierment package.

In my view two good fights for him would be Rudy Markussen the Europian champion and then maybe someone else who has a fringe title. On the issue of froch I don't think froch really wants that fight he just likes to talk about big fights to impress his mates and get his name in the paper. Don't get me wrong I think froch is a good fighter but he really needs to sharpen up his defence befor he steps up against Reid.
