According to promoter Alexander Krasyuk of K2 Promotions, everything is still on track for IBF, WBA, WBC, WBO cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk to defend his titles against Liverpool star Tony Bellew on November 10 in London.
"Usyk will box against Tony Bellew on November 10 in London," said Krasiyk.
"And this will be a fight where all four of the championship belts of Oleksandr will be at stake. Both fighters want this fight. Right now we are working on the organization of this fight. "

Date has officially been confirmed and location is London. Can only mean O2 Arena.
Hearn doing one over FW here by hopefully taking some PPV buys away from Wilder-Fury, if that's to take place in November.
Even then, Wilder-Fury will be after midnight. Can't see it doing BIG numbers on BT Box Office.

good fight. bellew hasnt actually lost since leaving 175. hoping and expectng a great atmosphere.
feels as though bellew doesnt have much to lose. would be crazy if he did it.
and usy winning adds extra depth to his cruiser reign and moves him further past guys such as haye as an all time cruiser.

Although now, people wil lsay don't bet against Bellew.. His Haye wins aren't all that impressive.
Usyk will be his best opponent on his resume.
Bellew just talks about his left hand. But can he catch Usyk?

well thing is ppl can say bellew always proves them wrong and upsets the odds ...but on the other hand usy has been proving ppl right each time and winning as the favorite...so you cant really give bellew any edge there

If Bellew wins.. We won't hear the last of it.. It'll be worse than Froch and his 80k at Wembley.
Gassiev did land some power shots on Usyk, head and body. Usyk showed he can take them.
Does Bellew hit harder than Gassiev? Maybe...

bellew winning would justify it, hed be undisputed lineal world champ vs a guy whose excelled and won pretty much everything in pro, amateur, and wsb boxing.
usyk olympic, world, euro amateur champ
world series of boxing undefeated king (and at super heavy)
undisputed pro wirld champ
its a big deal if bellew wins

Definitely. Bellew has said it will be his last. There will be no shame in him losing this bout.

I think this could end up at the Excell with Hearn saying the o2 isn't really avalible. It has the tennis starting the next day so if it's not the o2 then the Excell is the only venue big enough that could work indoors even through it has been set up badly for pro boxing in the past by all accounts through it was set up well for the Olympics.

Wonder how Bellew will approach this in the pressers. Usyk appears too self assured and polite to rise to any 'fookin rat' barbs.

No way this takes place at the ExCel Arena.
It holds 6,000 for boxing events.
Basketball Arena at least holds 12,000. < not sure if that's still open.
Even the CopperBox holds around 8,000.
Wembley Arena holds 12,500

you're joking, even without the 'beef' Bellew could reel off about a day's worth of pre-fight cliche-hype in his sleep, 'warrior ready to die in the ring, dese fists/dese kids, believe you me, if I land clean on his chin, this is boxing/anything could happen, just a fat lad from Liverpool, believe you me, Z-Cars, dese fists...'

Bellew ticking most of the boxes in terms of career “experiences”, held titles at every level, fought abroad, PPV fighter, Done a Rocky film and now a shot at an undisputed p4p champ, the stuff that dreams are made of !

He will talk bout how he's earned money and financially secure, how he's invested in houses and shiit. How this will be his legacy fight. His absolute last fight. yada yada..
He tell's us his life story.

Bellew won't be thinking 'what if?' When he is lying in his silk sheeted deathbed.
For a relatively limited fighter he has dared to dream and reaped the rewards, he should be a very contented man.
A lot of fighters could learn a lot from him.

He has definately 'done well'.. SIgning with Hearn, having that mouth, using it, getting Haye to fight him. That was Haye making good money too, so worked both ways.
This is where Brook has kinda failed financially. He made decent money vs. GGG, but that was the beginning of the end of his career. Luckily, he kept his belt and had a another PPV fight with Spence.
Now the only fight close to being a PPV for him is Amir Khan.. That's why he's begging it.

Not the biggest Bellew fan but this is a ballsy fight to take as I assume he could make more facing lesser opponents.

Massive props to Bellend
No one else is lining up to face Usyk at cruiser. What a fight to go out on, win or more likely lose, Tony gets my grudging respect for this.
I still don't like the guy, the only things we have in common are pies and boxing. And I don't think he is going to have too many pies if he wants to try and make cruiser again
