Apparently Freitas and Corrales are on a collision course for a rematch, as expected Freitas wants to erase the memories of his "no mas". He will fight Bobby Vanzie conqueror Yuri Romanov in a WBO eliminator and the winner i think will fight the winner of Corrales-Castillo. That fight is by no means a forgone conclusion IMO as Jose Luis Castillo is arguably the best fighter at 135, fair play to Corrales for taking this fight.

Freitas was outboxing Corrales before the end, Corrales greater size and strength ultimately told.

If anything Freitas got a bit cocky last time, if he could stick to a disciplined fight plan this time he could beat Corrales, Diego really wasn't doing that much.

But I agree, Castillo is no slouch....

Yeah, I've got to give it to Corrales, I think he's overated but he certainly is a fighting champion.

I only wish there is a rubber match between him and Casamayor somewhere down the line, still think the Cuban will do him. When you watch the rematch a few times who can start to understand why one judge scored it for Joel. I didn't, but there is no more than 2 rounds in it.

I think i scored the rematch a draw in the end can't quite remember though, i am very surprised they are fighting Castillo and then a rematch with Freitas, Castillo is very dangerous and solid enough to take Corrales's shots and keep firing back. Corrales is a warrior, he has been dropped eight times in his career but keeps coming back. Freitas needs to pace himself and stop throwing wide hooks from the waist, he never used to do that, how come he has receded technically? It seems strange...maybe a change in trainer is needed perhaps.

I am afraid he is not a good as the fighter we saw demolish Barry Jones (one of the bravest efforts by a British fighter in defeat though). I think your answer is spot on aswell. Suarez is a poor traner, I wasn't impressed with Feitas when he scored his best win (vs Casamayor). It was more of a case of Casamayor throwing away the fight (I think he did this in the rematch with Diego also).

Corrales would beat Freitas everytime.

But what if Freitas lands flush?

There is always that which is why I like Corrales so much but I just dont see Freitas getting through....I see Corrales always outboxing him and breaking him down...

I have yet to see this fight, but wasn't Freitas 6 minutes away from beating him the first time? I find this an odd statement given that Freitas was winning the only constest they have had.

Totally agree, I saw this first fight very carefully because my money was on Freitas.
Freitas all fight was runing from Corrales and tried to stay outside. Corrales did nothing but chase him for 7 rounds and Freitas box well and even won most rounds on score cards but he get himself tired. After Freitas was tired he was forced to exchange with Corrales and that was THE END for Freitas. I don't even know what he thinking - fighting Corrales second time. He will lose in the same way or even worth. If he tried to get inside (what shorter fighter should do by the way) he will get knoked out even faster.

Personally...I think Castillo will smash Corrales to bits...The mexican is a monster...one of the most underated boxers in the game today. He beasted the "hispanic causin panic" and gave Floyd fits...and IMO Floyd is P4P the best at the moment.

Frietas kills himself trying to make...never good..suarez is a piss poor trainer...Corrales should beat him again..unless Frietas punches less wildley and improves his stamina..counterpunch my brazilian friend, counterpunch.
