Although his pending plan is to ascend to 154 pounds with a view to adding a fifth world title in his third weight class, Danny 'Swift' Garcia aspires this Saturday to secure another world title at 147 pounds.

To achieve this, Garcia will face Shawn Porter at the Barclays Arena in Brooklyn for the vacant welterweight belt of the World Boxing Council (WBC).

"I am 100% ready to be world champion again. I've worked hard, I'm motivated and anything Porter brings will not work. I don't know if my next fight will be in another weight class, but I definitely have in the plans to go up and win more titles," said Garcia to Carlos Gonzalez.

Jermell Charlo and Jarrett Hurd are both likely to make the jump to 160lbs shortly.

Jaime Munguia might be a big young guy, but he looks very beatable and as a six-footer, he's also unlikely to remain at 154lbs for the long-term.

A veteran like Kell Brook is highly-likely to go back down to 147lbs for his next two bouts against Amir Khan and/or Manny Pacquiao, because he's only after big money fights at this late stage of his career. He may be too far past-his prime if he faces Danny Garcia early 2020 or later.

Erislandy Lara is likely to be retired or past-his-prime by the time Danny Garcia eventually makes the jump to 154lbs.

So I’d say that Danny Garcia has an excellent chance of gaining ownership of one of the alphabet world titles, probably the WBC version, at 154lbs from 2020 onwards.

I’m not sure if he’s big enough to dominate the division though, but he’ll probably be considered amongst the top-five at the very least.
