IMO I think Porter takes a stay busy fight then he goes for the Thurman rematch.

Spence bout is more likely with that kind of a face-off after Garcia fight.

Porter has to make 2 madatories!
One of them is Ugas..
WBC will probably sort something out.

The original post makes it a bit unclear whether you are supposed to respond with who you want or who you think is likely.
If Porter rematched Thurman anytime soon, i.e. anytime before Thurman can return to 100%, then Porter would definitely win. Not sure how much useful information that provides us about anything.
Porter vs Pacquiao would be semi-interesting. If Porter won it, he would be a bit of a superstar going into a Spence / Crawford fight. But Pacquiao has been in a bazillion battles, and I don't think I want to see this version of Pacquiao in another hard one.
Porter vs Spence would be a big deal. There is no question that everyone thinks Spence is better than Porter. But the bulk of the evidence to support that is pretty much predicated on Spence's win over Brook, which may have been influenced by a weakened eye socket. I think that Porter has some chance of beating Spence, and I think that it would really boost Spence's resume to have another world class, nearly elite scalp.
Porter vs Crawford would be best. I think there would be a bit of uncertainty about the favorite, especially since Crawford has not had as much time to grow into the weight. They don't have any world class common opponents, which makes it even harder to draw comparisons. If promoter politics were not an obstacle, then this would be the one.

Porter vs Thurman II.

A couple of lower level opponents first for Porter (maybe including the dangerous Ugas) and then the Thurman rematch.
Assuming Thurman ever steps into the ring again.
I don't see Porter going near Spence. Everyone talks about challenging Spence but they're never eager to sign a contract.
Is Garcia-Broner on the near horizon?

It's just "saying" not "signing". ...."Down to the road or when the right time will come."

I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed. I mentioned this twice in the RBR thread.

I'd say it's probably gonna be Spence. They seemed friendly with each other, and both seemed to want the fight. They both are under the PBC banner. I'm all for it.
I barely give a sh*t about Thurman at this point.

Let's watch some nice, educated and well spoken black fighters:

I think it's owed to him if the WBC took that title from Thurman. Although you also hear that Thurman voluntarily renounced it, so who knows.
I'm certain that Thurman would want at least 2 tuneup fights before tackling the rugged Porter again.
So at Thurman's pace, it might be 2020 before it happens.
And by then Porter may very well have lost the title.
I have a hunch that Ugas could squeak by Porter in a mandatory.

I definitely hope to see Ugas get his shot. Ideally against a comebacking Thurman. Ugas is a good fighter, and has definitely earned his shot as well.
Spence vs Porter in a Unification bout makes the most sense though. They both seem to want it. They're both under the same promotional banner. Spence hasn't been in with the Elite names yet save for Kell Brook...so let's see it.

I really hope Spence stays away from AB and GD. He doesn't need that kind of entourage.

I hope it's Spence Jr, he deserves a fight against another one of the 147 elite.

To his credit, Spence seemed a bit embarrassed by whatever was going on in that video.

I couldn't even finish watching the video. I wouldn't be able to stand 5 minutes in the company of loudmouth jackoffs like that.

Wait, why!? Ugas looked horrible yesterday. I've never seen a fight with Ugas that I thought he was more than an average fighter. I didn't know Dulorme was such a huge name that'd earn anyone a title shot.
They've been pushing Ugas like he's anything more than just cannon-fodder for some up-and-comer.
Abdukakhorov and Kavaliauskas have done more to earn a title shot.

How did he look horrible? He won every round, and dominated his opponent. He's a skilled operator who's been able to turn around early career losses to build himself back into title contention, and he always performs well when I've seen him.
I don't find his fights boring personally.
His early career losses might've been chalked up to him draining too much to fight at 140 as he's yet to lose at Welterweight.
Wins over a few unbeaten guys, and other fringe contenders. He's a solid operator. I'm not saying it's urgent that he get his shot, but I think he's worthy of one.
Put him in there with Broner or somebody like that. He'd kick Broner's ass.

His opponent was useless, and did you see that combination he did where almost every shot missed? It was absolutely hilarious seeing the commentators trying to spin it like it was anything but ineffective offense.
Not even sure if he beats Broner. I don't see anything other than an average fighter with a list of journeyman and one notable opponent in Dulorme on his resume.
