There are several facts about the former world heavyweight champions.
Jack Johnson not just became the first African-American World Heavyweight Champion, but he won and lost his title in foreign countries outside of the United States. The World Heavyweight Champion would not achieve that distinction until George Foreman won and lost the World Heavyweight Title from January 22, 1973 and October 30, 1974.
Also, from 1930 to 1949, 7 world heavyweight champions all won in June. The first was a vacant World Heavyweight Title in June 1930 when Max Schmeling won the title on a foul by Jack Sharkey and last was the vacant NBA Heavyweight Title when Ezzard Charles decisions Jersey Joe Walcott in June 1949. Jersey Joe Walcott would end the 19 year June streak of new World Heavyweight Champion when he knocked out Ezzard Charles in 7 on July 1951. Finding it coincidences?
