Will Ricky Hatton return to the ring??

Dariusz Snarski, ex-boxer, currently a promoter, revealed something unexpected in Polish combat sports tv magazine "Puncher Extra Time" - "Next year i want to fight for the last time for my 50th birthday. I have a plan to face in Białystok (city in Poland) my friend Ricky Hatton that offered me a fight. In past he fought the likes of Floyd Mayweather Jr or Manny Pacquiao so that would be a great show for sure."

Oh my God, those guys have in total 90 years, and they still think about fighting...i hope it's not a serious idea and it's not going to happen.

Boxers fight for money and unfortunately the need for money can often get much greater in later years. Think how long it would take most of us to make 250k+.

Hopefully Ricky Hatton will never get that needy. A more genuine boxer you're unlikely to find.

Ricky must be hoovering the gear again if he's even considering the notion of another comeback...

Has something been lost in translation? Ricky Hatton is a promoter and he may have simply been offering to promote Snarski's 50th birthday bout?

I haven't read the article and nor do I know anything about Dariusz Snarski, so I don't know whether the Polish promoter is good at speaking English or not.

Hatton would probably be willing to face Snarski in a charity sparring session though, because Ricky (despite his physical appearance) continues to train regularly.

Has something been lost in translation? Ricky Hatton is a promoter and he may have simply been offering to promote Snarski's 50th birthday bout?

It was in Polish and i translated it myself. Snarski said that Hatton is his friend.

Of course, i dont know how much true and serious it is, i just translated what Dariusz Snarski said on Polish tv in combat sports magazine live.

Sorry. That's not what I mean.

I'm suggesting if it was possible that Snarski himself, not you, could have misinterpreted Hatton's words?

Meaning that Hatton could've offered Snarski a 50th birthday bout, but he really meant that he'd promote it rather than participate in it?

Ah i get it now.he fought multiple times in UK and he stands that Hatton is his friend using the word in Polish that suggest that they are not only potential business partners or so but that they are buddies that go for a pint together. If thats true then i guess that Snarski speaks English well, i doubt that Ricky Hatton speaks Polish

The English translation is a little choppy.

But in all likelihood, it's either Hatton offering to promote a fight for a friend, or the 2 will engage in a harmless exhibition.

Recently on another site, a poster swore that Prince Hamed is gearing up for a comeback.

At 168.

Sounds fanciful. Hamed's in his 40s, and recent photos suggest he might be in the vicinity of 200 lbs.

But if Hamed and Hatton did return, then anything is possible in boxing.

Last time I saw Hatton he looked like the illegitimate love child of the Pilsbury doughboy and the Michelin tire dude.

If Hatton returned now, he'd be a rare 5' 5" heavyweight.

Hatton or Hamed?

Or both?
