Personally I'm rooting for GGG to win but I have the feeling this rematch could set a trilogy

There is no other type of opponent for Canelo than GGG to generate huge interest and big numbers, so a third fight could be an option. Anyway this fight will tell us how much gas is left in GGG's tank and if he should call it a day. :TU:

There shouldn't be another fight. A win here for either should be enough. There was already a draw in the first bout which caused a rematch.... Controversy that was not needed.

Personally, I am rooting for GGG as well.

It depends on the type of the outcome. If someone wins decisively, there won't be a big need in the rematch. Other interesting matchups can't wait in the line too long.

Both guys are strong and determined. They will probably give it all inside the ring. Other matches won't generate the numbers of a potential third fight if this rematch ends close.

I couldn't care less who wins, because I respect both guys.

In terms of safeguarding the long term future of the sport of boxing, its probably better for Canelo to win, as I suspect that GGG will retire soon.

it could be a trilogy. if both go down and it is exciting. or if ggg wins, then surely canelo's team will pursue a revenge match sooner or later to restore their pride.
if canelo wins, then probably no 3rd fight, unless it is a very bad robbery.

analysing the match.
ggg has better consistent stamina, better power. canelo has much better defense and is a smoother boxer.
it seems there's bound to be more edge, more aggression in this this matchup.

ggg is such a brutal puncher. if he can set a fast pace early, he could well score a ko this time.

I want to see GGG using his jab more to the body.

If Alvarez starts fast and throws with power early then it might happen for him.
But will he take the risk of that working out?
From the first fight I got the impression Golovkin can hurt Alvarez and Alvarez needs to box smart to keep that to a minimum.
Whatever happens, be it emphatic KO by either man or otherwise, there's enough money and the draw from the first fight to make it another worthwhile venture for either guy in the not too distant future.

Let's just all hope for a fair result, preferably a knockout.

A ko is the only way GET can win. I don't trust the judges after the lat fight

An Alvarez win doesn't safeguard the future of boxing any more than a win for Golovkin would damage it. Boxing doesn't depend on Alvarez, as big a draw as he is.

I'm also rooting for a GGG win but it's not probable. I just hope that there's a clear winner tonight. Boxing can not have back to back scandalous decisions in another fight of the year. That's the only thing that GGG has going for him right now. Another horrid decision and Oscar will not make it out of the arena. He's behind all this BS.
