heres how to throw your right hand with a weight transfer. to punch with a weight transfer, your body weight must move from leg to leg as your hips are rotating. whenever you punch with a weight transfer, what you are throwing is your body weight, not your hand.
to throw your right hand with a weight transfer, your upper body must move over your front leg. this is because this motion is what causes the concentration of your body weight onto your front leg.
as your hips are rotating, move your upper body over your front leg in a downward forward motion. don't over bend your front knee. your chest is going to come just over your front knee, with the heel of your front foot staying under your front shoulder. your head will naturally preform a slipping motion.
heres a right hand thrown with no weight transfer.

Interesting piece, the only thing I would disagree with is that the right hip should finish in front of the left and not square as advised, this will give more power and length to the punch and will put you in a better position to throw any left hand punch. Stand in your stance, extend your jab and leave it there now extend your right hand and rotate hips to square, you will find that your right hand does not reach your left, rotate hip so that that it is in front of left hip and it will make up that important shortfall.

thats right. you know your stuff. gets you more power because more hip rotation gets you more follow through. how much you bring your right hip past square is how much extra follow through you get. however, the weight transfer, that is, the upper body moving over the front leg, is what gets you the most power. the rest is simply a means to deliver the weight transfer payload into its destination.
and, as you were saying, extra hip rotation for your right hand, ultimately means extra hip rotation for your hook.
rotating your hips so your right hip comes just past square and moving your upper body over your front leg, thus producing a weight transfer, then rotating your hips and sending all of your concentrated body weight back onto your back leg, may be the hardest punch the human body can throw.
