Is Floyd Mayweather going broke??

This guy is retired therefore those 30-100m pay days are no more.

Yet Floyd is rumoured to have lost over $50,000,000 in 2017 (who knows how much so far this year).

He also spent $18,000,000 on a watch

Is it a matter of time until he has to haul his wrinkly dusty old ass back between the ropes so he can settle up with his bookie?

I don't really care. As long as he's undefeated he has another enormous payday waiting for him even if he's 50 years old so he ain't going flat broke anytime soon.

Even if a lot of his money is gone he's got Millions of dollars worth of sh*t.

He shouldn't be broke.

He's earned a fortune several times over.

But Mayweather obviously spends a lot at any given moment....even more than any of us spend in a single week😂😂😂

So he has poor impulse control when it comes to spending.

It might explain why he's suddenly eager for another waltz with Pacquiao and that 9 figure payday.

But realistically, if Mayweather is broke or getting close to it after the hundreds of millions he has already accumulated, how long will another big paycheck last him?

At the May-Mac pressers, wasn’t he waving his cheque for the Pacquiao fight? Acting all big like he ain’t cashed it?

I’m sure you’re supposed to cash cheques in within 6 months.

Anyway fück him.

He always spends madly.
The article was enlightening though. He really is burning through a lot of cash. But if $275 mil for the Connor sham is true, even at his current rate of spending, it will take a few years before he is even close to broke.
I think he was had over that 18 mil watch! Probably has a resale of a mil. That's the thing, he buys new. Everything I've seen him flashing about is going to be worth a lot less than what he paid.

Considering the ridiculous way he spends if he goes broke I know I for one will have zero sympathy for him. It'd be easy as hell to support the Lives of 100 or possibly 200 people with the money he's made where none of them would need to work a day in their lives, but instead he blows it all on "Hey look at me and all my money." type BS

It's his money to do with what he will, but if he winds up broke I won't have one single shred of sympathy.

No chance he made over 200m for mcgregor imo. He alwats lies about how much hw makes and the cheques he shows don't represent his purse but rather his promotional companies revenue before tax and before the rest of the outgoings still to come off.

Only billionaires can afford $18m watches. Floyd isn't a billionaire and he no longer makes large sums.

Years ago I predicted that Mike Tyson would end up broke and go to prison. . . .I say the same thing about Floyd except his financial meltdown is the biggest in sports history.. . . .I think he is really an insecure person who gets fulfillment by drawing attention to himself by what he spends and flashing it.

Floyd Mayweather won't ever go broke.

His fortune will inevitably deplete over time, but he'll always have millions of dollars more than any of us who frequent this forum saved up for a rainy day.

I mean when you got an Entourage of 15 people or more up your ass everywhere you go I imagine you go through some Money. Especially when you got all 15 of those people spoiled to living the sweet life.

Whacko Jacko was pretty much broke before he died.
Its a shame when so much money is frittered away, when it could do some good- like maybe giving back to the sport that helped make it :maybe:

I mean he has Mayweather Promotions. He promotes other fighters. Is that not giving back?

I have had conversations with insiders who both say that Pac is always broke not long after EVERY fight.

It's a money making and prestige venture.
I mean pulling at risk kids off the street and teaching them the discipline of boxing. Changing lives, not filling pockets.
David Tua has a program like that, and I respect him for it- and he went broke!

At the time of his death, Michael Jackson’s net worth was estimated to be as much as $500 million, according to the IRS. He was earning at least $74m per year from the royalties of his records and I believed he also owned the rights to the Beatles back catalog.

The value of his estate has apparently increased in value by almost as much as $1bn since his death.

A "dummy" that's wealthier than you, I assume? He probably earns more interest from his bank savings in a day than what you earn all year.

When you use the word "also", are you suggesting that Mayweather is in financial trouble? Is so, what makes you allege such things?

I highly, highly doubt it. Someone also said Warren Buffett was going to win the purse-bid for Povetkin/Wilder on another forum. :OhYes:
