Worst ever? No. Clearly not the worse ever. Every PPV card which is not stacked is deemed to be "the worse ever".
I wonder what the odds are that a thread with this title will be started after 70% of PPV cards. They cannot all be the worse ever.

It was a shit card. Main event was great but what came before was dire. Okolie Askin one of the worst bouts I've seen in some time.

Not even close to being the worst PPV.
The Khan vs Prescott PPV is the one that always springs to mind for me. Poor main event, a typical FW WBO title fight (Arthur vs Cook) and then the rest all being one-sided fights
Many of the 2000s PPVs has reasonable main events but completely woeful undercards.
Last night was the no1 v no3 heavyweights (per the Ring magazine) with 3 50:50s on paper. Unfortunately those 3 fights were disappointing for different reasons.

Wasn't Khan/Salita PPV? To be fair to FW I think he did it under duress as his dad was pulling the strings.

It was a poor PPV by any yardstick

I think we’re becoming more tolerant of bad PPV undercards. Bad ones I remember from years ago now looking back had some decent match ups on the undercard.
Had some names on the undercard but it was too light and no fight had the potential to ignite. Okolie should be nowhere near PPV undercards. Let him progress somewhere else and give that slot to someone who will entertain.

I'd go one further mate. Not only should he not be on PPV cards he should not be on anything televised. That's the second time he stunk the place out

I agree , he's developing a style that will repel the punters if it carries on .

on paper it was average.
the povetkin was always going to be exciting.
but we were let down by that big oaf David Price (who really should go away now)
okolie and askin were utterly useless and should have both been thrown out.
and , I don't follow the lighter weights but found the Luke thingy fight pretty dull.
all in all not worth more than £5

The PPV would have been more palatable had Sky not been showing it. The so called pundits, constantly towing the Sky party line. Someone like Nelson who’s been in boxing all his life trying to tell us Bellew can outbox Usyk for the sake of selling a PPV. Unwatchable

As the amount of PPV increases the quality gets worse, would have been far better if Bellew v Osyk had been on the bill instead of being another 20 quid to see with probably another poor undercard.
Instead of a PPV having 2 or 3 really top fights on as they were in the early days now it's the main event and little else to see.

I thought Khan vs Prescott was worth every penny

I managed to get a stream eventually. Missed Price and Okolie and by the sounds of it I dodged a bullet. Got the Campbell and AJ fight in perfect HD. Campbell boxed well but it wasn't a good fight to watch IMO. I enjoyed the main event.

Yeh same. Luckily I was out eating and could see a cafe showing the Okolie fight through the eindow and keeping up with the RBR thread. Got home just before the Main Event tbh. Us guys that stream fights still complain that the ppv’s are bad and that we’re lucky ee didn’t order it.

You should've told them your table wasn't satisfactory and demanded to be moved

Was it the worst on paper beforehand or merely some fights failed to deliver?

I think on paper people said it was poor too..
It;s like Whyte-Parker event, people said it wasn't a ppv worthy event. but in the end, the event delivered. and some said it was worth my £20 etc.

I was sat near the window looking out of the restaurant and across the road was the cafe. They had large TV's everywhere so I had a decent enough view..
But yeh, that would be a good one. But I believe I had the best view where I was sat anyway.

Clev v Bellew II is still the worst PPV of all time by some distance. The headliner on Saturday was a very good standard of boxers and the fight was pretty decent to watch so I don't think this one gets in the top three of worst PPVs.
I think it sticks in your throat a bit purely because of the amount of PPVs nowadays. The undercard was dreadful, but I wasn't moaning too much about it in the build up - it looked half decent, if not great, on paper.
Okolie has done irreparable damage to his long term marketability. There is no way he should ever get a slot on PPV ever again, and I can't see anyone being interested in watching him headline a normal Sky card. As a potential money-maker, he is done.... and rightly so. For all Hearn's faults, I think he'll know that as well and we won't see him again (unless there is a huge change in his style).
