Lawrence Okolie - Throw awkward punch and then clinch style

This is the second time hes completely and utterly stunk a joint out on a high profile event.

He simply cannot seem to be able to throw a punch without falling into a clinch. He keeps the lead hand almost fully extended (which I thought was illegal?) and was so dirty that he had 3 points deducted as the house fighter.

Nobody wants to see another one of these punch and clinch 12 rounders from Okolie surely?

This isn’t strictly true
Sometimes he led with the clinch.
Jumped forward into a cuddle

You have to be wary of his patented check spoon

Does Hearn continue building him up?

Seems to me that he cannot judge distance or the length of his arms.

Was terrible viewing. I hope Eddie lets him defend his british for a long time because moving him too quick will get him beat.

Can you imagine what a Gassiev would do to him.

The thing is, Hearn can't keep putting Okolie on high profile shows if he keeps performing like this. It's one thing stinking out a joint but Okolie actually goes the extra mile.

Horrendous to watch. And as others have said, not the first time. Doesn't seem to be able to judge range, can hardly throw a punch without falling in and once he's close he's got no inside game so just wrestles. Not sure what Hearn does with him. An Olympian with the British and Commonwealth titles after 10 fights sounds impressive, but people will quickly use his fights as a chance to run to the bar if something doesn't change.

He was given 3 warnings about the head before the first point was taken. He was also using the forearm and shoulder.
Okolie is in AJ's stable, under Matchroom. So an egg of the golden goose, a rotten egg.
I saw Eddie's face during the fight and straight after- not a happy man.
Okolie should have been DQ'ed.
He's rotten.

He should ask Johnny Nelson if he can take on his 'entertainer' nickname

He managed to surpass Nelson.

I'd rather watch 10 reruns of Nelson DeLeon than watch Okolie again
