Callum Smith hopes beating George Groves will earn him a dream fight at Anfield.
The Liverpool fan challenges the WBA 'Super' super-middleweight champion in the World Boxing Super Series final, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Friday night.
Smith fought at Goodison Park on the undercard of Tony Bellew's world title win back in May 2016 but with Anthony Joshua's last four fights being in stadiums, the 28-year-old wants to return to Merseyside as a world champion and fulfil a dream.
"Anfield is the main dream," Smith told Sky Sports.
"I have a bucket-list that have a lot of boxes to be ticked, and one is to win a world title and to fight at Anfield is another. I was lucky enough to be on the undercard of Bellew's and witness the city coming out supporting that.
"I remember sitting there thinking this would be a little bit better at Liverpool because it's a bigger club, so that is the ultimate goal and winning a world title makes that a lot more possible."
The final will take place in the much smaller Indoor Sports Hall, but with Kell Brook boxing at Sheffield United's Bramall Lane and Leeds fan Josh Warrington winning his world title at Elland Road earlier this year, 'Mundo' wants to join the list.
"The stadium fights are the ones you want to be involved in," he said.
"There is a lot of things to tick off but I am sure that is one everyone wants to do.
"I think Joshua doing it has made it more of a reality now. Boxers can fight in stadiums and can pack them out. If I can do that, I am doing something right in my career.
"Groves is the champion, he is the favourite and he's got everything to lose. My best performances have always been in my biggest fights. I believe this will be no different."

Hope Groves boxes his head off although Callum actually comes across as a decent dude compared to the rest of em.

At this rate, Eubank and Smith's dreams of fighting in a stadium might end up on Hackney Marshes, maybe Yeovil town if they're lucky

I'm rooting for Callum.. The rest of the brothers are quite annoying. Callum is ok.. The best of the 4, technically, boxing ability too.

I've a sneaky feeling that double G's shoulder will go, and that he knows it.

Yep. These two are fighting for big big dollar on Friday night. The Sutherlands have put Groves under big pressure to be available to fight with the threat that Eubank jr would step into the breach should Groves not be fit.
A bit like Haye and Degale, you need to rehab the injury safely and properly before you then train for a fight. Haye, Degale and now Groves have all had major surgery and then raced straight into training camp. Haye and Degale both came a cropper as a consequence of rushing the recovery. There has to be a huge question mark about Groves' fitness coming into this fight.

Callum Smith is by far the best Smith- in personality, boxing ability, and size Vs weight class.
I'm a fan of both Callum and George, so all I hope is for a good clean, injury free fight.
Both are saying it will not go the distance, I'm not in agreement with that unless there is an injury.

And his confidence may be an issue with throwing the big right against such a tall fighter like Smith,i wouldn't be surprised if he over reached and it popped again

What's with all the sudden articles about boxers wanting to fight at football stadiums. I'm sure they do, but why tell us?
Eubank Jr. wants to fight at Brighton, y'know.
