I think promotors rather their fighters fight for trinkets that come with potential world rankings.

And it's really boring.

I think Ritson and Okolie have odds on chance of both becoming European champions and an decent (ish) chance of becoming a world champ at some point.
This despite Okolie's recent performance...
They can both bang for sure!

ritson yes, hes been on a great run absolutely destroying decent guys in 1 or 2
but tbh, i see a lot of people calling okolie a serious banger, but i cant say that he really stands out as someone who will be leveling people at the high levels. already hes gone the distance 3 times out of 10 at domestic level and in none of those did he really look concussive
solid power for sure but really standout power? early on i was hoping hed be a wilder style super tall skinny ko artist, but as hes not really turned out like that it seems, at least for now

Hughie Fury is way better than a lot of past british heavyweight champions. Hughroy Currie springs to mind.

Horse - do you mean has there been a worse champion at each weight? Or are you asking whether there has ever been a date when the list of reigning champions was worse? Am assuming the latter. If so, it's a good question.

Yes, that was my question.

Callum Johnson beat the man at LHW, so he earned is spot. Ritson is trashing domestic opposition who still fight domestically. And Huggie is in a position at the top where the top don't fight domestically any more, unless it's AJ Vs Whyte, so faircop to him.
As for the rest, could be worse

The holder of the British title doesn’t always have to be someone stopping off briefly on their way to world honours. I like to see fighters like Jason Welborn, for example, holding the belt. Being British champion will probably be the pinnacle of his career and he was involved in two close fights winning and then defending it.

It's pretty poor form to have so many titles vacant, the likes of Selby and Fury are pretty inactive too.
Just goes to show its not only Prince Patel that takes the WBO European route!
