1st October and the 43rd anniversary of the most brutal fight for the heavyweight crown which irreparably damaged both Ali and Frazier.
Two warriors sadly no longer with us.

Maybe not as good as the first fight in terms of skillset demonstrated, and pure physicality, But perhaps even better in terms of intensity and emotion.

An action movie encounter--the force of some of the blows Frazier lands is frightening. The sound of the punches is horrific. All but maimed each other. Kram's book about the long drawn out aftermath is quite haunting.
