I watched the first few rounds of this last night. Jesus, I'd forgotten what a goalkeeper DeWitt is. But a great performance from Benn. This is another performance that gets overlooked when we talk about great British performances abroad. DeWitt went 12 rounds with Tommy Hearns and laughed at the punches coming his way. But Benn obliterated him. Doug never fought again.

Yeah, good coverage (saw the repeat an hour later). Fair play, all the rounds and interviews - plus they showed Benn vs Barkley in its entirity.

I actually forgot that the reason Benn fought these guys in the states was because the BBBoC refused to sanction the WBO. I long for the BBBoC to be a bit more stringent in this current mess with more and more companies joining this alphabet soup.

The Dewitt vs Benn fight was how I remember it, Dewitt was very much a faded force by then although I did forget him flooring Benn in the second. Great performance by Nigel, but Dewitt had a few fights to many by that stage.

Barkely vs Benn was a bit different to how I remember it, I didn't remember Barkely rocking Benn much. So that was insightful.

Well done Bravo.

yeah good point u make on the board's refusal to sanction wbo title fights. if only they did that with some of ones masquerading as title belts today.

great finish from benn in this one :TU:
