Hi, I am desperately trying to find info / memorabilia concerning my dad. His real name is John Cocks, but he fought under the name 'Johnny Cooke', not sure how it was spelt. He boxed in the army and then turned professional Middleweight in 1951. He was managed by Jim Wickes and promoted by Jack Soloman. He boxed at Belle Vue in Manchester, Blackpool tower, Liverpool, London and Madison Squre Garden that i know of! A number of years ago there was a poster displayed in the archives at the top of Blackpol tower promoting one of my dad's fights, i have tried contacting Blackpool Tower but nobody seems to know anything!!! i would be very grateful if anyone has any information.
