Mark Heffron already has his next fight booked.

The WBC International middleweight champion is mandatory for Jason Welborn’s British belt.

He will face Welborn –– who retained his belt with a rematch win over Tommy Langford last month –– before Christmas, as part of the supporting cast to Josh Warrington's IBF featherweight title defence against Carl Frampton.

Warrington faces Belfast's former two-weight king Frampton on December 22 at Manchester Arena, exclusively live on BT Sport Box Office.

Boxing Scene understands the show's promoter allegedly will also look to showcase Nicola Adams, Daniel Dubois and Nathan Gorman on the card.

Further details will be revealed in due course.

Finally Heffron get’s the step up needed. Gonna be a tough one for him.

I hope it doesn’t end up like how Zelfa ended up.

heffrons taking a step up for sure but he does look a good talent

only guy to stop andrew robinson (buglioni didnt), and also only to stop lewis taylor ( the vaunted jam cox didnt)

well above english level i sense. id go for him here too.

i wouldve thought heffron was older then 26, seems like hes been around a while, but i guess he turned pro young.

if he wins this hopefully it gets him rolling after some pretty uneventful 8 years

Who's next in line for the British then? Surely they'll find a decent opponent. Plenty time to prepare for whoever takes it. Maybe Langford will fancy it.

Tommy got badly beaten up by Jason last time out and I fear his punch resistance is lower than it was. Heffron hits hard by all accounts and I don't think Tommy has what it takes to keep him off.

I would be very surprised if allegedly hasn’t got signed contracts for the fight and if that’s the case I’m sure he will go after welbourn for compensation for breech of contract

Yeah I'd fancy a Heffron stoppage in that one. Just seems an easy fight to make. Hopefully there's someone else who fancies it. That's if the board agree to sanction a title tilt for whoever it is.

Langford signs with bcb boxing and plans to moved up to to super middle. Rules him out
