I've signed you for the Joyce fight. Yeah so there was only £7.50 and a bag of crisps available and I had to push hard for the crisps

Haye expanded; - ‘Derek is an immense talent, a true warrior. His most recent win again Carlos Takam sent shock waves around the boxing community - myself included - and a stark message to his fellow heavyweights. When Derek is focused, when he gets the work done and has the infrastructure around him he requires to perform he is not a boxer you can under estimate. Derek is dangerous and after a professional career spanning over a decade he is looking to scale the heights of the division, capturing world titles and I am looking forward to helping him achieve this”

Chisora said, ‘He is one of very few managers who has themselves won world titles, he knows what it is like to step in the ring putting everything, including your life, on the line. I am at a point in my career I know I cannot afford to make mistakes. ‘Del Boy’ is no more, I am not playing, I am not cutting corners or looking for the short cuts, I have realised I need to live the life of a professional if I am to achieve what I know I am capable of… there will be no more late nights partying, drinking, getting distracted by stuff that will simply move me away from my dream. David has already built on my existing team of Don Charles and John Ramos bringing in the best in the field of S&C, nutrition and rehabilitation to support them. To all heavyweights out there who think Derek Chisora has had his time, missed his moment, you’re wrong, this is just the beginning, this is WAR.”

But the in the build up for the fight, they said they hated each other......

Surely, they weren't just lying to promote the fight?

He’s managing him. Hearn promotes him.

Is Haye a good career guide at this stage in Del’s career? Maybe? Might advise him to fight Mark de Mori?

I think we his is a bit of coup for Haye. Keeps his name out there, he needs big names in the business and Del is still a name in world boxing (even if it’s only for another 12 - 18 months).

Haye iced Chisora in and outside of the ring. Now imagine, what will happen with Chisora, if he disappoints Haye with a loss.

Funny how things turn out sometimes.

Couple of years back people would have thought you are crazy to even suggest that thing like this might happen in the future

Chisora vs AJ might happen sometime along the lines. Easy win for AJ good name and good opponent to build huge hype fight. I kind of hope that it happens

Chisora has always underachieved I think. If only he was in peak shape all of his career.

I wanna see his abs.

With this move Chisora is giving himself the best chance of achieving in what is left of his career. He showed against Takam and Whyte the first time that when he's motivated he's a genuine challenge to anyone....and if he can build on that with improved conditioning, nutrition and dedication to the craft, then who knows how high he could reach.

It might be too late, he might not be able to maintain the motivation levels required......but its a smart move and I think it'll help bring out the best version of himself.

At the time they fought they probably did hate each other. There was nothing phony about their grudge, their brawl in Munich was definitely for real. Fists, bottles and tripods were flying for real. But of course that clash built a potential fight between them into a huge event and they both cashed in.

Now they're both in a place where working together makes a lot of sense.

I'd also like to see this new motivated Chisora back out against Kabayel. Surely they would fancy winning a rematch? Just not in a vacuum like Monte Carlo please.
