Does anyone know why Peter Fury doesn’t ever mention Tyson anymore, has there been a bad falling out? Seems odd that he doesn’t even support him anymore, something has gone sour somewhere and its all very queit.

With Hughie fighting next week I suspect Tyson will be supporting his cousin but you often find that Peter will never tweet Tyson good luck or anything anymore….imagine Big John and his brother Peter having a fall out, that would be some fire works!

Anyone shed any light on this?

Wasn't it originally a falling out over training and apparently Tyson's lack of motivation and interest. I remember Peter saying that Tyson was "getting knocked out every five seconds in sparring" and not being happy about things, I think that's how it started, probably snowballed from there.

Maybe Tyson blames Peter for serving him wild boar

99 times out 100 a falling out is due to money.

Run up to the Klitschko fight, Tyson later said it was all mind games but they split shortly afterwards. There were reports at the time that a LHW from Belgium battered Fury in sparring and dropped him three times.

THE IRONY FOR ME is that allegedly their relationship soured because Peter did some business with David Haye.... now, from what I see out of Big Bear, Tyson has hired Joe Joyce as a sparring partner who is promoted by David Haye.... could it be that a thaw in the relationship is on the horizon since Tyson had to reach out to Haye personally in order to hire Joyce?

No clue. Personally, I'd of reached out to guys like Michael Grant (despite his age), or even someone like Robert Helenius (who used to spar Fury) .... But we'll see how well the preparations go come December 1st... Though I'll say it's extremely difficult for Fury & Wilder both to find sparring partners remotely like each other.... It's difficult to find 6'5"+ giants with great hand speed and high ring IQ's.

Hughie said he still wishes Tyson all the best and wishes him luck before the fights.

Speaking on the entire scenario, the 23-year-old said: “I definitely wouldn’t fight him [Tyson]. I wouldn’t lower myself to that level," per The Mirror.

“Family is family, even if you don’t speak. You don’t put yourself in the ring just for money.

“I’ve not spoken to him much, but I wish him all the best and I hope he does well. If he gets a world title, he gets one. I’ve not got animosity for anyone.”

However, he did reveal the one fight he is eyeing up for himself after the Sexton clash: Anthony Joshua.

“Those are the fights I want. I believe styles make fights and I believe I’m Joshua’s worst nightmare," he added.

I get the feeling Big John knows his place when it comes to his brother. The one who’s shouting and hollering is not usually the one to be overly bothered about

I think Peter is the top dog within his brothers.
Who knows if John has been whispering in Tysons ear.
Nevertheless they will keep it between themselves, we'll never find out what went on, but Tyson is a better fighter with his uncle in his corner

I do think Hughie is somewhat passive-aggressive in his statements. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but in that press conference in Bulgaria he said that after Pulev he's after Joshua, and will prove he's the best heavyweight in the world--- now considering his cousin Tyson is set to fight Wilder and everything, it seems like something of a stab at Tyson Fury (saying he's the best & not Tyson).

That’s how I read it too.

Ironically, this also reflects his boxing style.

PERSONALLY..... I wanted Hughie to keep & maintain the British Heavyweight title.... He's "too good" in many ways for such a level of competition, but it'd be the one avenue where he'd be in fun fights where he'd get knockouts and he'd stay champion for quite a long while (imho).... him ditching the British title to jump at Pulev, who nobody cares about anymore, in the hopes that he'll get AJ seems to be rather lofty.

I like Hughie, I really do, but he doesn't sell tickets. AJ may be able to sell out stadiums regardless who he fights, but I don't know if he could actually sell out an arena if he fought Hughie. It'd have to be a stacked undercard to make it "worthwhile", because Hughie-Parker was so dismal it had to be on YouTube PPV.

Had he kept the British belt and knocked out the Sexton's and Allen's, etc he'd be more marketable. It's a step back, yes, but at this point and time in his career he needs EVERYTHING he can possibly get to be PPV worthy. This has NEVER (not really) EVER been a sport where merit actually meant anything. You could be the best in the world, and if you can't sell tickets you are at the back of the line. Period.

On the contrary, I’d be rather surprised if Hughie didn’t think he could prove himself to be the best heavyweight in the world. I don’t see it as a dig at Tyson because it’s pretty clear that they’ll never fight each other...

You can still be a vindictive prick, and never fight one another. That means nothing.

If a contender did not think he was the best in the world I'd be shocked.
It's just the mentality of athletes. Why do it if you don't want to be or think you're the best
