its a little bit of an imaginative excercise, and I tend to think the fight will go the whole 12 rounds most likely, but here's a scenario I daydreamed the other day which I think would be plausible:

Rounds one & two were pick em's where you could argue they were even, or split between the two men--- Wilder coming out like crazy, and Fury forced to trade with flashes of skills--- the commentator's screaming their heads off saying, "NOW THIS IS WHAT A CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT IS ALL ABOUT!"

Round three Fury catches Wilder off balance and drops him for a short count; Wilder's embarassed, and goes for broke throwing everything but the kitchen sink, but Fury evades most of Wilder's rushes.

Rounds four through six were comfortably Fury's with Wilder bum rushing and missing--- midway through round six, Wilder switches tactics, shortening up his punches and finds late round success, but the round is still Fury's.

Rounds seven through nine Wilder starts shortening his punches trying to use science against Fury, and manages to win the ninth because Fury seemed to take the round off from apparent tiredness--- The commentators start speculating out loud, "This is what happens when you take off 3 years and lose 100 pounds in weight with next to no tune ups, this may be the beginning of the end for Tyson Fury!"

Round ten Wilder comes out like a madman convinced Fury is done, manages to clip & hurt Fury, but is too over zealous, gets off balance & Fury sees his moment and throws punches in bunches, completely catching Wilder off guard, and lands 20-30 unanswered punches and the referee jumps in and waves the fight off! Commentators are completely aghast and say that they didn't see it coming, nobody could, and say that it was the best heavyweight fight since Klitschko-Joshua and arguably the greatest comeback in heavyweight history. Fury sounds off thanking Jesus Christ for the victory and then goes into a rant about Anthony Joshua (ie, "that bodybuilder") and sings to the crowd and says, "Thank you my American fans!"

Quiet first two rounds then BOING wilder lands and Fury is done.

wilder kos him, absolutely no doubt to me at all

it may start slow with fury fiddling around and winning some early rounds but wilder is landing those finishing shots eventually

Rounds 1-12 - Gypsy King is outboxing Wilder. Of course, some rounds can become less dominant, some will be rounds off, some can actually be won by Wilder, some can be awarded to Wilder with hometown aid, so eventually it'll be about 116-112 or 115-1113 for Fury.

cant believe how many i see picking fury in various places, no way ppl, its one of those i can pretty much guarantee

they were close to even odds when the fight was signed and if i had more i wouldve lumped on that

You are 100% correct. Wilder will destroy Fury.
The only question is what round.
I predict 3rd round brutal knockout

I don't see Fury winning either. I'm concerned Fury will realize this and back out.

I don't like Wilder, i am not a fan of Fury. I will root for TF but i give him very little chances - Wilder by KO inside 6 rounds, well, 8 at best. I just don't believe that Fury can be as good as vs Klitschko anymore. He will never be more than 80% of former Fury and even 80% would be much. He was terrible vs Pianeta.

Round 1 and 2 cagey - Fury nullifies Wilder and uses his superior boxing skills to edge ahead on the cards
Round 3 - late in the round a big one lands rocking Fury (possibly putting him down)
Round 4 - 5 Either the knock down happens now (if not round 3) and/or Wilder jumps on Fury and gets the stoppage

Wilder hits fury, fury takes a nap. Round 1.

I see Fury winning by a wide margin (in the eyes of most viewers) but a close one on the cards...

It’s PPV, so no early KO expected.

I believe it will look like most of Wilder fights...he’ll look clumsy and maybe behind on points for 5-8 rounds and then the right hand lands...if Fury will be able to get up - fierce attack and maybe windmill, to convience refery to stop it.

Fury will be praying for the cards after the first big right hand lands on him & survival becomes the gameplan, and all the emotionally driven nonsense desperately believed about Wilder gets squashed instantly like the minor nuisance it is. This fight ain't going 12, no fornicating way. Either Deontay lands his money punch or gets taken out trying to land it. No way in hell DW is letting it get to the cards, the potential for a bullshit decision is too much, especially against a guy who can stick & move well enough to steal rounds. It is a kill or be killed mentality.

I seriously don't understand how anyone thinks Fury can avoid that right hand the whole fight. Name one guy who didn't eventually nail him. He counted on his regularly scheduled massive size advantage and durability to handle it. Don't mention that Klitschko embarrassment, that was possibly the most passive performance by a HW champion in history. Klit actually fought in one round, the 12th. Lo and behold, he had his best round and shook Fury up a bit. Whoever is counting on Wilder to fold or get tired is sorely mistaken. Frustrated yeah maybe, if the fight lasts that long. The best part of it all is we'll get a definitive answer on both guys. Fury already accomplished his life goal, Wilder has not yet. Pressure is on DW, he ain't getting another chance.

Fury starts working off the jab, Wilder starts off jabbing with him. Fury clearly wins the first couple rounds in very passive rounds where no power shots are landed and very few are thrown. Round 3 starts off the same way, but Wilder starts to follow up with a straight right hand behind the jab and catches Fury at the end of the round. Fury is noticeably bothered, but is saved by the Bell before Wilder jumps all over him. Round 4 Fury starts to rush in holding constantly leaning on Wilder, Wilder is noticeably frustrated and complains to the REF About excessive holding. Fury is looking to spoil the fight at this point, jab, jab hold, jab, jab hold. Finally in round 6 the Referee warns Fury for holding, straight off the break Wilder lands a crushing right hand that leaves Fury stumbling into the ropes, Wilder jumps on him and lands 2 more big shots before Fury goes down. Fury gets up at the count of 8, still wobbly on his feet, the referee let's the fight continue, Wilder jumps right back on Fury and tees of and lands 10 unanswered punches as he crumbles to the floor. Referee waves it off, fight over.

Wilder lands the first right hand he throws at the end of first round. Fury will lie down for a minute.

Fury is overrated after a horrible performance by Wlad. Anyone can win against a person who does throw a punch.

Fury stinks the place up with his awful style, gets cocky and then iced by Wilder. Wilder has really fast hands and Fury isn’t difficult to tag.

Then, bring on AJ. AJ beats Wilder easily.
