Good question , but aggresion is not always what it seems , to most just coming forward , throwing bombs looking for a tear up is aggresion , But theres also body agresion , thats what i would call it because i can't think of any other words to describe it , but basicly its applying aggresion with the feet , and i don't mean a kick in the bollocks , i mean just being able to place yourself , to force the other guy to do something , wether its move or throw a punch you want to counter , bit like herding sheep , getting the guy to go where you want in the direction you want , and throw the punch you want him to , experienced guys know how to do this ,

Jack Dempsey was a pure savage, aggressive and ready to rumble.

I love Jack and named my youngest Harrison after him.

Mike Tyson,up close he would try to break arms and elbows, bite ears and was quoted as saying he'd like to 'smash noses up into the brain'.

Can't believe no-one has mentioned Duran yet!

JCC has to be in there as well, as he was so 'seek and destroy' for the majority of his career.

Jamie Cox went through about 6 fights where he'd try to overwhelm everyone in the first seconds.
Didn't do him any good, but it was fun. :box:

ya, good points. theres more to aggression then throwing punches i think. some really high output guys like paul williams,, i dont really think of him as a highly agressive fighter

he would throw a lot , but most of it was pitter-patter, point scoring stuff while on the move or doing unusual angles. he wasnt really going right at guys and imposing himself in the way we might think of guys like benn, duran, valero, etc...

Yeah Duran was a vicious terror in and out of the ring the legendary Ray Arcel said that he was the most vicious man ever to put on a pair of gloves but coupled with that he was a magnificent boxer as well

after watching the face-first 100mph punch-every-second horror-shows of the 80s/90s I imagine Korean mothers decided on other, safer avenues for their kids, like I don't know stuntman or lion tamer
