It might be worth dropping an e-mail to Channel 5 to confirm that they will be showing this.

ESPN 2 (who Five have a contract with) have just announced that Friday Night Fights is too return for a one-off "Main Events special". It is hoped that this will be one of the very best FNF. Scheduled to fight is WBA Lightweight champion (so Dean will be interested) Jaun Diaz making a defence against the evergreen Julien Lorcey.

Apparently, ESPN are still saying that Boxing will return regularly to the station next year.

I only hope 5 realise this.

I must say the Channel 5 boxing is really great .
Ok , for the most part its not elite level guys but they've had some excellent fighters on . And usually in competitive fights .
I know he's not everyones cup of tea but I always enjoy Teddy Atlas's analysis .

Well lets see if CH5 are serious about covering Boxing. There was a lot of simular talk when they showed Holyfield Vs Moorer 2, then it all went very quiet.
