S4C WELSH CARD FREE TO AIR

On S4C this Saturday (available on BBC iPlayer)

There is a great small hall show free to watch for everyone

Andrew Selby 10-0 vs Adam Yahaya 18-3

Not the greatest of opponent paper record, but great to see Andrew back and hopefully target Rosales after this it’s got to be the aim.

Gavin Gwynne (Welsh LW champ) 9-0 vs Myron Mills (English LW champ) 12-0

Probably the best fight on the bill and also a British title eliminator. I know Gavin will be looking to impress infront of his home fans and hopefully setting up an all Welsh British title fight down the line with Joe Cordina.

Kieran Gething 6-1-1 vs Tony Dixon 10-2

For the Vacant Welsh welterweight title.

Tough start to Kieran’s career but is on the back of a good run and Dixon has lost only when stepped up to a decent level. The weight may also be an issue for Dixon but we’ll see

Ash Lane 12-8-2 vs Robbie Turley 18-6

For the Commonwealth super bantamweight title.

An all action fight and a severn side derby to round the night off.

Hope if you live local you can attend and get supporting the small shows or if you can’t tune in and support. Hope everyone enjoys

Almost certainly, but S4C usually do English commentary on the red button, should hopefully be the same on Saturday.

Haven’t seen it mentioned and was sure a few would be interested in 3 50/50 fights and the return of Andrew Selby I think it’s only them 4 fights on tv

Lane vs Turley should be an entertaining scrap, love a Commonwealth title fight me, both guys done well to win a Commonwealth strap in the first place, I doubt you'd have thought either man would've went on to win major honours so fair play, both guys have been in with the whos who of the lower weight domestic scene, I think Turley will win a close one

Any idea why Turley gave up the belt in the first place?

Turley has another talent...

I’m sure he was trying out for X Factor and a few other things.

Jesus I hope that's not why he vacated the belt, after a tough start to his career, then to pick up a Commonwealth against all odds, to then give it up for that nonsense

If you haven’t heard him he is surprisingly very good.

Aye I'm sure he is mate, I think if that is the reason he vacated then it does show you how serious he is about the sport

In saying that he's free to do as he wants so all the best and he's getting another crack at the belt here so hopefully he's focused, I remember he gave a young Carl Frampton a tough night

Of course it questions Turleys commitment but I haven’t heard anything from him till the interview above which I hope means he has been in the gym like a Trojan as Tyson Fury would say
