Doesn't look good
If board told him to see his doc, rather than an outright no, then there's some hope, but it doesn't look too good does it mate
Good luck to him

I'd imagine whatever the recommendations of a board of boxing fans, your mate will need to see a brain specialist for an actual answer to this

It’s an increased risk so you wouldn’t think he’ll get a licence. Good luck to him.

It's the situation, when some blood vessels of brain have bulging parts. Definitely not a good situation, as vessels are more vulnerable at those parts, what can cause an intracranial hemorrhage. I'm not an expert in this subject, but I don't believe, that the person with such disease can box. I strongly recommend to visit a neurosurgeon.

im medical, sadly he has no chance of fighting anymore. he would be a fool to himself and his loved ones if he carried on without BBBC licence. ie bare knuckle etc

Trying to find a positive- at least his scan has highlighted a potential lethal problem that he can now be aware of in his life.

This is a serious condition I hope he’s stopped sparring as well he needs to see a neuro specialist as a matter of extreme urgency I hope all goes well for the lad in the future I should think the lad is understandably devestated best of luck to him

Yeah, assuming that is the case it is an unusual approach.

Nah as a matter of course they ask for very specific tests and then have the BBBoC medical panel review the results.

On new years eve last year my best mate passed away suddenly at just 53 years of age while watching TV following a sudden and unstoppable bleed on the brain.
5 years ago another friend leant out the bed to set his alarm. A burst aneurysm took him at just 43 years of age.
His boxing days should be over irrespective of what any doctor says.

Why in god's name would anyone who has had a brain aneurysm want to box? Save him from himself.

Aye it did for my mum at 56 too sadly. If she'd had a scan earlier in life who knows whether it could have been prevented - but I don't know if there are levels or surgical options if detected early.

If he loves boxing, and doesn't want to leave the sport... Why not become a trainer?
Honestly, the fact that he was (assumingly) a good amateur about to turn pro but couldn't because of a brain aneurysm would probably help his "cred," over others who just sucked at the pros and decided to train instead.
