What Next For Ted Cheeseman?

Given his young age and gradual improvement, what is a realistic path forward for Ted Cheeseman?
I don't think he is ready for either Smith, Welborn, and Williams- who is busy anyway.
Where next for Ted?
Commonwealth playoff for a mandatory?
Defend the British against Fowler- or is Fitzy ready?
An all action dust-up with Eggington?

Make some good defences. Capture the Commonwealth belt. Go down Euro route.. then challenge for world title when he’s good and ready.,

Yeah, realistically some C+ defences of the British.
He ain't ready for the Commonwealth and Pretty Boy Zerafa just yet. That would have be a few fights down the line. Usually the commonwealth is fairly weak, but not at SWW right now.

Not quite enough experience just yet. Zerafa is much improved since his loss to a prime undefeated Quillan. Maybe your right, but it would be a tough setback if Ted did lose to Zerafa.

Wouldn't mind seeing him punch Fowler upside down but doubt that'll happen next despite Fowlers mouthing off!

Be a good fight that. Fowler can whack and Cheeseman ain't hard to find. Think Eddie will let this fight brew for a bit then get it on headlining at Wembley

Wouldn't mind seeing him in with eggington, just cos it'd be a good scrap.

They're gonna need to be careful how they match him and how he progresses. He's got that kinda style that'll probably see him peak and burn out relatively young if he's in too many domestic fights like last night. Even though he fought well and won wide he was still caught quite a bit and looked to be quite marked up afterwards. Actually thought he showed some similarities to Hatton last night, not that I'm saying he'll have even half the success Ricky did but he peaked quite young after a fair few tough domestic and WBU level fights....

That's a match that should be fun for a while.
Think Egg is probably short on confidence after his losses but he'd be competitive for a while in the fight .

Yes that would be a cracker , but the powers that be will want to build it to make it a bigger fight .

Me too. I know Fowler is a better career move and strangely, Eggington thinks he is beyond British level
But what a dust up that would be

Good post, agree with that. As well as he did last night, and he was never in danger of losing, he did seem to make hard work of it slightly.
They seem to be looking at the Fowler fight for next year. Wouldn't begrudge him a defence against a Jimmy Kelly type before fighting the Fowler/Fitzgerald winner in the spring. If he comes through those then that leaves the likes of Eggington/Williams/Metcalf around domestic level. One more would be the British outright and then look at the European champion. Some Spaniard has it at the moment, no idea what he's like.

Come on Stuart, he is fair skinned and 80% ginger, that type always mark up easilly- except Canelo.

He was getting landed on a fair bit, and I don't think he opponent was anything that special.

I'm fair skinned and mostly ginger and I've went down on a bitch for over an hour before and came back up without a mark! I had to put a bucket under her arse to catch the slabbers but still....
