I just watched Loma v Martinez on BN there. That was bloody poetry in motion and the finish was cum in your pants material! What a combo! That got me thinking because Martinez was involved about the Burns v Martinez fight. Ricky fought out his skin that night and apart from the early knockdown he was outstanding...

Mayweather vs Marquez despite the size difference

Mine is Cotto in his rematch with Margarito. Boxed his ears in and didn't get involved and let his heart rule his head. Boxed lovely that night

Thomas Hearns in how he was able to outbox the great boxer SRL. Hurt and buzzed he was putting rounds in the bank. Everyone just thought he was a banger.

On the flip-side the same fight. SRL managed a KO over the KO artist.

Technically one of the best fights of all time with both men fighting outside of their comfort zone.

Mayweather-Gatti is one of mine. Yes I know Gatti was well past it and made for Floyd and totally outclassed anyway, I just fvcking love that performance.

manny and floyd both had some, floyd clowning canelo for example, and manny as a 4-1 underdog absolutely trashing barrera, pwning oscar, destroying hatton etc

Yeah that was brilliant, that was. Probably Cotto's best ever performance.

Carl Froch's punishing win over Mikkel Kessler... I was delighted to see The Cobra getting his well-deserved revenge.

Carl Frampton's victory over Leo Santa Cruz a couple of years back has to be high on the list for me as well.

Ricky Hatton destroying Luis Castillo with that body shot.

Duran beating Leonard. No way should he have been able to have won that fight. Leonard was pure poetry. Naturally bigger, faster, stronger and more powerful.

I loved Kessler. Thought he won the first fight by a few rounds tbh but both fights were great! Might watch them later actually now you've mentioned it!

I'm a big Frampton fan. Go to most of his fights. I'd love him to get Santa Cruz in Belfast before he hangs em up but that would take a lot of negotiating a a fair few quid!

My top single performance would be Lewis's ko of Rahman,,a lot was riding on that fight and the way he turned things around and put on a masterclass ending in that textbook ko for me was very impressive indeed.

LSC will never come to Belfast. I highly doubt that FW could get him to leave American (or Mexican) soil. The way that he'll see it is that he's the Champ, why should he give up home advantage.

Buster Douglas over Mike Tyson. Douglas came out there without fear in contrast to many disoriented by Tyson's aura. Buster had a lot of drawbacks through his career and in his life prior to fight, but he wasn't distracted. He entered the ring to perform, he outclassed Tyson in a text-book fashion: jab, keeping the distance, moving, throwing variable combos. Yes, he was caught and dropped, but even after that he courageously stood up to regain his dominance. A performance of a warrior with skills and guts, a performance of a champion.

I loved Duran against Moore.

He looked to be past his peak.
Moore was meant to be the future.

Duran absolutely battered him. Moore was never the same again.

On a sidenote people sometimes question Duran’s opposition at Lightweight. Some were very good but Duran battered them, some were never the same again.

Ali vs Cleveland Williams.

Foreman listed Cleveland Williams in his top 3 hardest hitters.

Duran had a lot of remarkable performances. In addition to the mentioned ones, we should remember his lightweight campaign, where he was grinding everyone. And, of course, his last hurrah against Barkley. Old and small Duran outfought bigger and fresher Barkley like a badass.

When I think of British fighters I think of Herol Graham vs Chris Johnson.

and, a controvesial pick but I absolutely loved how Mayweather let McGregor shoot his bolt. I know people called it a disrespectful performance, I think it was a very respectful performance. He thought about and work on a plan against someone not used to fighting for 3 x 3 minutes rounds for 12 rounds.

Incredible fighter. On his very best form, you’d struggle to find many in boxing history to beat him.

He was looking for the ref, he would have stood up anyway. And the bell was right after the count, so what's the value of extra 4 seconds?
