Cuts Are Overrated These Days...

I remember back in the day that the second blood started trickling down a boxers nose, we were hoping that the fight wouldn’t be stopped. Yes, there are cuts that absolutely hamstring a boxer’s ability to win the fight but when was the last time a big fight went to the cards because a cut prohibited a boxer from completing the fight?
Announcers hop on the rules as soon as a cut appears and tells us when a fight is “official”, but it’s meaningless these days. Cutmen are like evil geniuses these days with the magic they pull in the corner with these gashes. I just don’t think it’s worth talking about anymore at this point. Aside from the inconvenience to the fighters vision and game plan, can we stop talking about what happens if the fight is called over a cut? You have a better chance of Canelo losing a decision in Vegas. Not gonna happen.
