The future of boxing PPV - Virtual Reality

So yesterday i bought myself one of these Samsung Gear VR headsets, plugged in my phone, grabbed my horn, and got stuck into some hardcore VR por*.
Once i got that out the way, i was able to slow things down and start to take a look around the world of Virtual Reality tv and get a proper understanding of what this VR mullarky is all about. Wholy smokes man, this sh*t is the future of everything. I'm not sure yet how much of a role the smelly green stuff helped to enhance the experience, i'll try to find that out in the comming weeks as i get more opportunities to watch vr when under no influence, but for now, it blew my god damn mind, straight up!
To all you VR virgins out there, why am i linking this to boxing PPV?
So here it is, with a VR headset you are able to watch tv in 360 degrees. It gives you the impression you are in the scene, or, as the name implies, inside of a virtual reality. It works extremely well, much better than i could have ever imagined.
I have not tested it during a live event yet, but i have heard this technology is being used during live shows, such as concerts etc, maybe even boxing or MMA have tried it already???. I was watching a bit of the Joe Rogan experience where some guy he was interviewing mentioned VR being used at live fight events, and now i can understand exactly what he's talking about. Imagine a scenario where its a big fight, and you get to sit ringside in the most expensive seat, without leaving your own armchair? You get to walk around inide the arena freely, you can wait outside and watch the fighters arrive to the arena, follow them as they walk to the dressing room, sit next to them in the dressing room, follow them on their ring walk, sit ringside next to famous celebrities etc, watch the fight from any angle in the arena that you want to, jump into the ring during rounds and watch the fighter in his corner like you are on the team, all the time feeling like you are there, bang splat in the middle of it.
The technology may not be ready for all that just yet, but based on what i have seen so far, it will get there soon, very soon, if i had to bet money on it, possibly within 10 years? The early days may not be great in terms of product quality, but as the technology improves continuosly, it will get to the level where it all works seemlessly and you are 100% emerssed in a live event, right at the front of the action. Be it ringside at a boxing event, or sitting inside Lewis Hamiltons F1 car as he whings his way around Silverstone, its comming, of that i have no doubt. Its only a matter of time, how much time is the only question.
And, of course, what the fook might an experience like that cost us?
