I think I'm probably being a tad critical, but this fight card doesn't interest me one bit. I am curious to see Miller facing the Muppet Show's 'Sam the Eagle' character though.

He only fought last month.

He thought he could bag the regular belt quick. But i’m not even sure it’s on the line.

Garbage headliner for a garbage card.

Miller has been going backwards since the Duhaupas fight.

Heavyweight star Jarrell Miller continues his rapid rise, Claressa Shields defends her IBF, WBA and WBC World Middleweight titles against Hannah Rankin and Brandon ‘Bam Bam’ Rios comes home in an all-Mexican clash in a huge night of action at the Kansas Star Arena and Casino in Mulvane, Kansas, on November 17, live on DAZN.

Miller has stepped up his pursuit of World title action and the unbeaten Brooklyn banger is fresh from demolishing Polish legend Tomasz Adamek inside two rounds in Chicago earlier in October to move to 22-0-1 with his 19th KO win, and his opponent for his fight on November 17 will be unveiled at a press conference in New York on Saturday evening.

Shields became a two-weight World ruler on home turf in Detroit in June in just her sixth pro fight with a points win over Hanna Gabriels to add the IBF and WBA straps at 160lbs to her IBF and WBC Super-Middleweight belts she claimed in August 2017 and defended in January.

‘T-Rex’ puts the Middleweight straps on the line against Scotland’s Rankin (5-2 1KO) who crossed the pond once again for a World title shot having challenged Alicia Napoleon for the WBA Super-Middleweight title in August in Long Island, NY, having picked up the WBC Silver Middleweight belt two months earlier in Scotland.

A stacked card in support of the World championship battles sees a homecoming for Rios, the former Lightweight World ruler and Welterweight title challenger who was born in Garden City, Kansas. ‘Bam Bam’ Rios (34-4-1 25KOs) is hunting a route back to World title level, and that leads him into an all-Mexican showdown with Ramon Alvarez (27-6-3 16KOs), the older brother of Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez looking for his own win on the big stage to set up a title shot in 2019.

A crunch battle at Middleweight sees Luis Arias and Gabriel Rosado clash. Arias (18-1 9KOs) is back in action after tasting defeat for the first time in his career against former World ruler and IBF title challenger this weekend Daniel Jacobs, and this is a must-win for the Wisconsin man if he wants to mix with the best names in the red hot 160lbs division. Rosado (24-11 14KOs) has twice boxed for the World title at Middleweight, and the Philadelphian is back in the ring after a year out following a return to winning ways in October 2017 when he stopped Glen Tapia in Las Vegas.

There’s more local flavor on the card in the shape of exciting young Wichita star Nico Hernandez, the 22 year old Team USA 2016 Olympic bronze medalist laces them up for the sixth time in the paid ranks, with four of his five wins to date coming inside the distance.

I just don't get Miller's choice of opposition. Especially as other top contenders are fighting decent fights. (Wilder/Fury; Chisora/Whyte). This does nothing but pad Miller's stats or can hurt his standing with a less than stellar performance against a never was/never will be opponent.

Eddie Hearn has always maintained that when Anthony Joshua makes his debut on US soil, it’ll be against his Matchroom stablemate, Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller.

I don’t know how Eddie’s orchestrated this master-stroke, but he’s somehow managed to get the WBA to sanction Miller’s bout against Bogdan Dinu as being for their vacant ‘regular’ world heavyweight title.

Therefore, I’m guessing that Eddie Hearn has matched Jarrell Miller with Bogdan Dinu, in the same way Arnold Gjergjaj became the sacrificial lamb for David Haye, as it allows DAZN to televise a world-title bout involving a future Anthony Joshua opponent, who’ll inevitably look “impressive” decimating an overmatched unbeaten fighter.

Sad state of affairs if your post is true, and I don't readily doubt it. AJ/Miller doesn't light up the excitement gauge, IMHO.

Heck, I'm not fussy.
Miller Vs a someone.
This is crazy. Miller will probably get a title shot against AJ after facing nobody's. And how will he go? Terribly is the answer.

Has this been officially announced as being for the WBA 'regular' title?
According to the WBA website Manuel Charr is still their 'regular' champion (under review).

Doesn't look like it's going to be for the title unless there's any last minute changes. There's been some trouble in the testing process so Charr might be able to appeal and avoid a suspension and avoid being stripped (even though both of his samples were positive).

Its hard to get excited about Miller when he is fighting dross like this. Embarrassing that he calls out Joshua and gives Whyte shit for his opponents!

He should be fighting guys like Ruiz Jr or Ortiz...

I honestly don't know what to believe, but there roughly a dozen or so articles claiming that Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller's bout against Bogdan Dinu is for the vacant WBA “regular” title, with Manuel Charr about to be stripped of this belt. And here are a couple of them:

"Jarrell Miller next opponent revealed "

UNDEFEATED but also largely untested Romanian Bogdan Dinu will fight unbeaten New Yorker Jarrell Miller for the vacant WBA “regular” title on November 17. And though the 32 year old is little-known and, in the opinion of many, a veritable no-hoper against Miller, Dinu insists he is ready to “cause a big shock” and defeat Miller.

Having been in camp for a fight with Tom Little (to have taken place on the Hughie Fury-Kubrat Pulev card), Dinu says he is in great shape and that he is now able to fully focus on the big fight with “Big Baby.” Currently 18-0(14) as a pro, the man from Bucharest also enjoyed a good amateur career.

"Bogdan Dinu may face Jarrell Miller in heavyweight bout"

The saga of the WBA's so-called "regular" heavyweight title continues.

With Manuel Charr about to be stripped of the secondary belt because of a failed drug test, mandatory challenger Fres Oquendo was supposed to face contender Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller for the belt in the main event of Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn's next United States-based, DAZN-streamed card on Nov. 17 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

However, Oquendo eventually turned down a $500,000 offer for the bout because he did not believe there was enough time before the fight to adequately implement a Voluntary Anti-Doping Association testing program, a source with knowledge of the offer told ESPN on Wednesday.

So with Oquendo out, the fight was offered to Bogdan Dinu (18-0, 14 KOs), 32, of Romania, who has accepted but is waiting on Miller to agree to terms, according to the source.

Yeh, It's getting messy. Also Arum has come in about Jennings being skipped etc.

I don't believe it will be for the 'Rgular' belt. Matchroom's official website states it as a heavyweight contest.

No boxer really takes 'that big risk', until they actually have had their first world title opportunity.

I read an article today, which contained an interview transcript with Manuel Charr, with the ‘regular’ champ claiming that he didn’t knowingly consume anything that would have triggered the detection of two banned substances from his failed A-sample test (performed on the 24th August).

He was tested again on the 29th September by VADA, independently arranged through his own lawyers, and they confirmed that no doping could be proven from those tests.

So what was the outcome of Charr's B-sample (performed on the 24th August)? If it was clean, then Manuel Charr championship status wouldn’t still be deemed as being “under review”.

I'm not arguing with you (I believe what you've said to be true), I am simply trying to understand the current status of this highly-confusing situation.
