Joe Joyce is solely working with Richard Schaefer in a promotional capacity alongside Al Haymon in an advisory role, the UK heavyweight force has announced.

‘The Juggernaut’ had originally linked up with David Haye in the summer of 2017. After several fights together and UK success, Joyce decided to branch out to train in the United States.

That’s where Haymon came in and Joyce will now concentrate on fighting under the Premier Boxing Champions banner.



Explaining his situation, Joyce made the announcement late on Sunday.

“I have been getting a lot of messages over the last couple of months regarding my promotional situation and wanted to clarify things,” said Joyce.

“I can confirm I have parted ways with Hayemaker Promotions. We have parted on great terms and I remain good friends with David and everyone involved at Hayemaker.

“I have to do what is best for me and my career. With Richard Schaeffer promoting me, Abel Sanchez training me and my management S-JAM advising me with Al Haymon.

“I have the best team to help me reach my targets in 2019 and 2020 onwards.

“I want to thank David and all involved in the Hayemaker team for everything they did for me in the first year of my professional career.

“Also, I’d like to wish them all the best for the future,” he added.

Haye better off has a manager and tv pundit. Lennox was a promoter for a short period of time. Calzaghe had one show. Sky killed off Hatton Promotions.

Probably a smart move. There are WAY better promoters out there than Haye.

He’s better of building in the US. Not many who want to fight him in the UK. Too much of a risk.

His training camp will be there anyway.

This also mean Haye promotes no one? What about his DAVE cards he promised us?

Haye is a decent promoter. He’s been doing it for 10 years. He was better at promoting himself though.

Possibly, doesn't seem like he's interested in fighting anyone though, one fight a year so far. Looking on the Hayemaker Promotions site it only shows Chisora lol.

Hayemaker doesn't really promote Chisora. Co-promotion no more than that really. Haye is just managing the remainder of Chisora's career. Hearn will promote Chisora. But as an add-on, probably allowed Hayemaker promotions co-promote the fight with Whyte, because truth is, Haye really helped speed the negotiations.

Joe Fournier. I don’t believe he was anything other than a friend who he let box on his shows, Haye didn’t manage or promote him.
He was the one that somehow managed to win a WBA International title whilst serving a drugs ban, though that has mysteriously now vanished from all WBA records and his BoxRec.
