I see very little chance the judges are needed. Neither is big enough to get canelo like love. Incompetent judging is always possible. If anybody got favorable scoring I'd guess it would be Tyson.

If you’re an educated fight fan, it’ll be a difficult contest to score.
Fury hasn’t got an aesthetically-pleasing fighting style, his approach is an acquired taste only appreciated by the palates of the very hardest of hard-core fight fan aficionados. It is, however, very effective.
In stark contrast, Wilder is crude and clumsy, but is often very exciting and entertaining to watch.
If Fury successfully employs “effective defence”, whereby he makes Wilder miss and then makes him pay, then despite Tyson’s unorthodox and displeasing fighting style, then he should win those rounds, even if casual boxing observers think otherwise.
Wilder can win rounds purely by landing the bigger blows. Many casuals will find it easy to award rounds to the American based on their personal stylistic preference.
So, I expect casuals to wrongly favour Wilder’s combination aggression and power over Fury’s ugly fighting style… and assuming the fight shocks us all by going the distance, then the Brit may be on the receiving end of a very unpopular decision victory (even if many hard-core fight fans agree with the outcome).
That’s the problem with boxing being very subjective in nature, because if we dislike someone’s fighting style, then it’s too easy to find ways to award rounds to their opponent.

Well said. Cant argue with any of this. I think fury will win by spoiling i dont think it will be an exciting fight. Wilder will look foolish

Perhaps you're right, but I suspect we'll see the Wilder jab we saw in Stiverne II. Anything can happen!

Definitely not. Mother@#$%ing judges will try to help Bronze Bomber to get the Gold at home, but The Gypsy King won't let them to provide such a nefarious act of villainy. With an impressive performance of Fury, they will be able only to narrow the scores.

I never worry about judging.
It's part of boxing. It is what it is.
Some fans see a fight and scream "robbery!" Others see the same bout and say the scoring was fair.
Just heard the same thing this past weekend in the Breidis fight. Some posters calling it the worst decision ever. Others arguing that Breidis deserved to squeak by.
It's in the eye of the beholder.
I've lived in Los Angeles most of my life. It's never had a reputation for routinely handing down poor decisions.
Of course it happens here. Just like in every other city, state and nation the stages boxing. But that's boxing.
If this fight is somehow relatively close and somehow goes to the judges, expect fans of the loser to cry "fix" and "robbery." "They were just setting up a rematch."
It always happens that way. It's as predictable a fan response as any judging controversy.

Think the fight will be murder to score tbh. Fury will constantly be on the move pawing out the jab and using plenty feints. Wilder will be awkward as ever and look for big overhand shots.
I think Wilder will catch him sooner or later but I hope I'm wrong.

If it lasts 12 rounds and there isn't overwhelming domination by Fury, then Wilder will get a nod. An opposite would be the case if the fight was in the UK.

whether the scoring will be fair or not it probably depends of the course of this fight. but i think that Wilder will knock out Fury.

Serious question. If you think boxing is so corrupt that a non power player in boxing such as Wilder can control every aspect of the sport. Then why do you watch boxing?

Score cards for Wilder fights have been awful. Wilder seems to win rounds where he lands nothing and gets outboxed. Hes fights usually won't go to the score cards so I guess nobody really cares too much.
I am expecting Fury to face fully loaded deck against him. He need to beat five opponents on the night.

You exagerate, but corruption plays a huge part in the sport and there's no getting away from it. Still i find it rather fascinating in an atavistic way, and of course i used to play the game myself.

Wilder barely even has a fanbase, hard to see why he would get favourable scoring, other than the fact he tends to look aggressive which is the same for anybody

Because his handlers have, as Ortiz put it, "deep pockets", and their plan all along has been to cash out on Wilder in a big money fight with Joshua.

That's how I see it/ feel about it. I don't expect the judges to be needed but I have no expectations about the standard of judging good or bad.

The judging in big events has been rather suspect. No I do not expect fair judging. I expect the more financially important fighter to boxing, backed his promoter that picks the judges to win the close rounds and possibly a round he shouldn't later in the fight to seal a draw or win. While you and I might score it 7-5, the judges will see it 5-7 defying punch stat numbers and the majority of media score cards.
In the end its technically not visible robbery, but in reality its skullduggery at its finest.
