Muhammad Ali ..... VIP prospect

this lad has diabetes. he is the first diabetic individual to be licensed by the BBBC.

ongoing blood sugar monitoring has to be performed.......but

why is boxing the only sport where a participant/contestant is restricted to only water during breaks?

footballers/athletic superstars/rugby players etc can all have various isotonic drinks etc.

surely its time for boxing to 'catch up'

i dont know but if fighters threw hell for leather for 12 rounds would there not be more head injuries , iam not against what you said by the way , just a thought

Catch up how? In having drinks companys sponsoring athletes? No need or benefit in having anything other than water over such a short duration, and I don't even think you need water other than to swill and feel refreshed.

Advocate for cyclists and half marathon+ runners using isotonic drinks and I may well agree. Anything shorter duration, it's all advertising bullshit.
