Both are at a similar weight were they can still use the full extent of their skills and talent.

I can see Miller winning it. I don't think anyone can stop Miller. His chin looks legit. Dinu hits pretty hard, and Miller took the power well.

I don't think Ortiz has the stamina to keep Miller off him for 12 rounds. Guy was exhausted fighting at a slow pace against Wilder. I can see a Miller late stoppage here.

I'd agree with you Mex except that the OP did specify "whilst in their prime". You have to factor in Ortiz having far better stamina than he has now, I think he would have had the skills to outbox Miller and the power to keep him honest. At least for a while. It's not an easy pick though.

Lots of people cannot see past Miller's surplus weight, and suspect defense. They don't seem to recognize that his combination of good stamina, high punch volume and seemingly excellent punch resistance, is going to overcome a lot of harder punching, technically more gifted fighters.

He needs tougher tests before I can be sure he is the real deal but up to this point he makes me think of a ferkin tank!

ya i agree, miller seems like a lazy fighter easy to dismiss because of the weight, but tbh i dont really think many guys will be able to deal with his strength , varied output, and body attack. especially if his chin continues to pass the test at higher levels. (he at least took duhuapas shots easy) his stamina has been fine too despite the weight. hes ending fights still busy and guys with way more 'in shape' looking bodies are gassing before him.

basically i think he might be good enough that only the absolute elite like aj and wilder and perhaps an on game fury beat him

Not sure why. Dinu is no bum. He's very skilled and been on prospect lists for a long time. He was just never tested before. He failed, but you could easily see he's a skilled fighter.

Before Miller, Dinu was scheduled to fight British journeyman Tom Little.
So 32 years old, 18-0, fighting a guy thats 10-6...
For me that shows what level Dinu is/was at.

He won the first 2 rounds against Miller, good on him... Perhaps he just about deserves his #56 rating on Boxrec's HW world rankings.

EDIT: I think Ortiz Vs Miller is a great fight btw. If big baby can take the power early he might be able to grind down the old Cuban and stop him late

Very entertaining fight this. To me it depends on the chin of Miller. I’d have to pick Ortiz to get the W from what I’ve seen.

No it doesn't. You can see his talent when he fights. He wasn't some bum off the street. Wilder spent years fighting horrible competition until he fought Stiverne. How the hell are you going to say you know his level based off that. He wasted his prime years, of course, I'm not denying that, but he was an enormous question mark. Dinu won the rounds up until he was stopped.

He just has no heart and no chin. He's skilled, though.

I agree %100 with all that you say. Maybe my expectations where a bit too high, but to be honest i saw in the first rounds a lot of holes in his game. If he faces AJ he definitely wont last long.
