Pascal was in a good shape imo and sometimes he was very dangerous but I'm glad Bivol kept his composure very well and boxed JP. Good fight!
Bivol vs Beterbiev next please!

Dmitry Bivol did what all of us expected, he cruised to a one-sided rout over a heavy underdog who barely threw any punches.
It was the terribly dire mismatch that all of us expected it to be. It wasn’t even slightly competitive.

JP caught Bivol with some wild punches. He had his moments.

At times he was dangerous in his wild spurts but Bivol showed good composure and toughness.

Am I the only one who expected more from Bivol?
He did the minimum to win the rounds, showed very little imagination, not impressed at all.

It was a solid win for Bivol. Pascal has always been a good, tough fighter so he's a good scalp to have on your resume. Onward and upward for Bivol.

That’s all Bivol and his team wanted. THAT NAME on his resume.
Now although he’s not at his peak anymore, Pascal is the best name on Bivol’s resume.

last year pascal won like 4-5 rounds vs alvarez and only lost a majority decision, hes not totally shot and his name looks good on bivols resume. this really wasnt as bad as some say but still on to better things hopefully next year for bivol, like a possible unifiaction.

Yes, he's solid technically, but probably didn't get yet that IQ, fluidity of a pro-fighter.

yup
Pascal was very well muscled up and I think his cardio was better in this fight. Most probably he trained for a final make it or break it type of fight.

I think Bivol could box Beterbiev at this stage. He gain some good experience against fighters like Barrera, Chilemba and Pascal.

I agree with you
@Ruthless-RKO
Dmitry Bivol not only threw 90% more shots than Jean Pascal, but he also landed 262% more punches as well.
According to the CompuBox punch statistics, Bivol landed 217 of 678 shots (32 percent), while Pascal connected with only 60 of 357 blows (17 percent).
@apollo creed - I stated the following almost a week before before the bout took place:
Enlightened-One wrote: ↑19 Nov 2018, 11:41A victory for Dmitry Bivol over the badly-faded Jean Pascal would not enhance his reputation one iota.
Does anybody really think the above statement was incorrect?
Did Dmitry Bivol surprise us with his performance, by cruising to a one-sided rout over a heavy underdog, in a bout that many perceived as being a terribly dire mismatch?

i honestly dont get the fuss, pascal is hardly totally shot. he gave alvarez a very good fight (officially only a majority decision loss) and battered an unbeaten prospect last year. worse fights then this happen all the time. it just adds a bit of a name to bivols record, gets his face out there again and keeps him active.
defo hoping for something better next year though. i think barrera-chilemba-pascals a sollid year but lets get a unification for 2019

Fight was extremely boring. After the first few rounds the only drama was whether Pascal would last the distance.
Bivol vs. Jack would be the ideal next fight for me. With HBO going away, maybe Haymon can make that fight happen.

ya id like that, it was supposed to happen already for the title bivol has now but i think jack instead decided to fight stevenson
i think bivol might go to dazn though, hes worked with hearn before and beterbiev is over there now. a unification has been mentioned for 2019

For the record, I’m not criticising Bivol, since he is only capable of beating the opponent he’s matched up against, but I have to be honest when saying that I never considered the current iteration of Pascal as being a credible title challenger.

The fight was entertaining imo. Pascal was well prepared and I'm glad that Bivol beat a game JP. Bivol vs Beterbiev next please!

So Pascal had a MD loss to Alvarez who then KO'd 7 Krusher Kovalev and suddenly JP is completely shot.

lol

I actually fell asleep around the 6th round. Pascal just doesn't let his hands go like he used to. Bivol doesn't excite.

Yes that’s right, because time doesn’t stand still.
There’s an obvious reason why most people anticipated a mismatch, whereby reality inevitably met expectations.
I really don’t believe anybody felt a lot of pride and became convinced that they should be regarded as the second coming of Nostradamus, due to accurately predicting the rather obvious outcome of this bout.
Compare my prediction to the outcome and then point out any inaccuracies. Most people expressed the same opinion.

Unfortunately in a world where we have 4 champions and a group of risk-averse promoters we are going to see people like Pascal, Barrera and even Shabranskyy getting multiple title challenges. It's easier to keep beating the current crop of "challengers" and prospects than risk unification and a loss.
