i've seen some videos of mercel cerdan a week or two ago and couldn't believe how awesome that guy was. all i can say is lamotta was damn lucky cerdan had an arm blowout during their match.

Cerdan IMO is the best fighter to have ever come out of France, where I've read he was very popular and a bit of a heartthrob.

If Cerdan had not died in that plane crash I believe he would have outpointed Lamotta in their scheduled rematch.

i never expected he was that good he was until i saw the videos recently. his record should have been a tip-off however.

i would venture to say he would have beat the holy crap out of ray robinson should they have fought. i would venture to say that but it would bring the brain-washed crybabies out of the woodwork with no facts to back their hair brained robinson-as-god theories.
