82” (Reach)
240 LBS (Weight)

Haye:
6’ 3” (Height)

Since David is prone to injuries, we’ll say that neither fighter gains any injuries before or during the fight — just to make the fight as fair as possible.

Please discuss in the comments who wins! My vote goes to David Haye.

Haye has retired so isn't 'current'.

Joshua is, however. If I used the ‘older’ forum, people would say the same about Joshua (that’s he’s not history).

David Haye is more like 210lbs at his HW best.

He only hit the 220lbs mark during his 2016 Bum of The Month comeback tour, during which he was more washed up than a dead crab.

I think Haye would encounter the same problems he did when he fought Wladimir; he'd find himself in over his head against a bigger man with skills, strength and power.

I see his Hayemakerness going into his shell en route to a points loss.

Haye was more skilful than Joshua. Strength and power is in AJ’s favour yes. Not skill.

David Haye would get smashed on the best day of his life.

David Haye never defeated an HW anywhere near remotely as good as Joshua.

I have a very hard time visualising how he could beat Joshua.; apart from the edge in speed and out and out boxing skill, he has no advantages over Joshua.

 We already established that Haye would injure himself attempting to take your magic potion. :OhYes:

Agreed.

Haye might have the edge in out and out skill, but Joshua is no giant lummox like Valuev, or a timid and gunshy gobshite like Audley Harrison.

Anthony Joshua is the real deal and Haye would find that out very quickly.

Are we talking David Haye now, the one who got humiliated twice by the guy who just got destroyed by a cruiser, Haye 2014, or prior to his first retirement to be the next James Bond? :maybe:

Just trying to clarify the scenario here.

Nevermind, AJ destroys any incarnation of Haye. Injures him in the ring with his fists, retiring him for good.

It's hard to know what folk want when they put Haye in HW hypotheticals, because he was either injured or beating sub par opposition.

The only truly world class HW he fought beat him without breaking sweat.

In short, Haye did nothing at HW to suggest he'd have any chance of beating a giant live HW.

Haye was more skilled for sure. But Joshia is still technically solid, he can deliver a punch. Haye should have been as slick as he could have been in order not to get hit with AJ's clean punches, cause Haye's chin wasn't anything special. And among those two Joshua's chin looks better. While both are big punchers. Haye would have most likely been elusive enough to outbox Joshua early with his movement and counters. But that would have been a fight of a good small boxer with a questionable chin against a big solid boxer with big punching power and good timing. So, even if Joshua would have been outboxed early, he would have most likely caught Haye eventually.
