Is it so far fetched for Fury to stop Wilder?

The facts:
Fury is an elite level boxer
Boxers almost always beat just 'punchers'
Wilder is an elite level puncher
Wilder is not 'elite' in the technical sense for the level he is fighting at
It's myth that Fury is 'feather fisted'. It's down to his style, if he sat down on his punch, Wilder would 'feel it'
This is the equivalent of a Usyk vs Crawford in weight class disparity
This is the weight equivalent of Wilder fighting Callum Smith
Fury has the skill base to avoid the haymakers if he stays switched on, assuming he is in fighting shape
Wilder has not proven he can outbox an elite in shape boxer, or even world level boxer
Fury outboxed albeit an off Wlad, but he still did it, and in Germany. Wlad only went 'missing' for Fury. He turned up vs AJ.
I think Fury will find the space to plant his feet and knock the unbalanced Wilder down at the very least. If Wilder misses and is left open, Fury will hurt him.
Fury by TKO/KO

I don't think it's far fetched. Just for fun, I'll pull this out of my ass.
50% Wilder KO
20% Fury Dec
20% Fury KO
5% Wilder Dec
5% Draw

I can actually see Fury employing the upper-cut and stopping him. I'm on record elsewhere as saying that Wilder will be too fit for him and is bound to hit him, but Fury can pull something clever out the bag. It might earn him a draw if he manages to stop Wilder...

If he stops Wilder he could get a draw but he'll probably lose an SD.

It wouldn’t be dramatic enough to be called a shock but Fury stoppage win would be a little surprising.
Fury is many pounds heavier but the word advantage is being used a lot and a huge amount of the additional weight is fat. Regardless of the outcome Wilder is not facing a 250lb boxer who is in shape. The word elite when describing his boxing skill is also a bit of s stretch, though in context and comparison to Wilder, of course most are technically superior.

Maybe a silly comment by myself. He'll win if he stops him - unless they find a way to disqualify him, probably for someone else's actions, like celebrating or brawling - but on the scorecards, forget it.
Ricky Hatton said this week he felt the place had been bought when he fought Floyd and Wilder apparently has 'backers' with deep pockets. They'll want to keep the run going. This being boxing, I can well believe that there'll be some bent people involved who are on the take.

As a kid I saw Jimmy Young knock down George Foreman. That taught me that at HW, most any fighter can knockdown another.

There's a natural tendency to pigeon-hole EVERYTHING.
So we just label Deontay a puncher and Fury a boxer as if that's it.
Fury can KO Wilder no worries - he's got a pro heavy with a 3 stone weight advantage.
Likewise, Wilder has a great chance of winning on points.
As the BT build up waffle just said - "the puncher can box pretty good and the boxer can punch pretty good"

That scarred my life as well.

Not far fetched at all. What is far fetched is fury dancing about the ring for 12 masterclass rounds without getting hit.

Not the least bit far fetched. He outweighs him by 40 something pounds. He should be able to hurt him if he connects clean.

We don't know if Wilder's lightness is tied to his respect for opponents and thus harder training, or if he's worried the weight off.
If it's the former then I don't think this disparity matters — it'll be down to the boxing on the night, and if it's the latter, well, he still beat Ortiz. But Fury can hurt him, of course he can. Probably can't stop him with a single punch, though.

Fury has done well to get where he is at in terms of his lifestyle but this is professional boxing. Put things in to perspective. He's fought twice in three years against two mugs and he didn't look good at all. I'm a massive Fury fan and I want to believe but logic tells me that he's well up against it here. He's gonna struggle and probably get caught. I hope to fukk I'm wrong but I really don't think I will be wrong here.....
I'm still sitting wide awake waiting for the fight in the hope I'm wrong but I just can't see it man!

Similar to how I see it.
