both run up big records vs 2nd and 3rd tier opponents. but then face an a level guy in there division and barely get by, both then face an a+ level guy in the division and draw
fair to say theyve got some career similarities ?

Golovkin is WAYYYYYYY more talented than Wilder. Golovkin actually has boxing skills, and deserved the win in both Canelo fights.

That's a big stretch and you (should) know it. GGG faced plenty of top 10 contenders in his title reign. Agreed his record pre-Proksa is weak. Also GGG was robbed in getting a draw vs Canelo, while Wilder was lucky to get the draw.

No, Ortiz is not on the same planet as GGG's fights against Jacobs and Canelo. Those two fighters are p4p-caliber. Ortiz is not. Plus, GGG was on the bad side of two (sorry one) draw while Wilder was lucky to even get the draw.

On the one hand, the situation is similar, on the other hand, Golovkin was far more convincing with his performance against Canelo, while Deontay clearly lost to Fury and was saved from the loss by the judges.
