Hearn was the loser last night. . . . .Joshua will fight in this order 1.. Whyte, 2. Zhilei or 3. Usyk

It's hard to see past the winner of Chisora vs Whyte.

unfortunately i guess he will fight Whyte.

Yup. Which means Whyte most likely.

would they risk Whyte?
surely pulev would be easier?
either way most of the options don't excite much in light of recent events.

a draw was actually one of the worst results for the 'hahaha lol at hearn and aj' crew
-neither fury or wilder established there mandate for being the guy aj needs to fight
-wilder vs aj is no longer the clear big one no matter how wilder screams and the pressure if off aj a bit there
-the draw could mean rematch clause doesnt go into effect and so aj can now fight either next year
-fury is now a bigger fight for aj then if fury had been sparked as many expected
- a win over either fury or wilder means aj beats a guy the other couldnt
and if hearn really does want to protect aj and duck like some ppl believe, the lack of anyone winning last night and establishing themselves as the 'need to fight' will allow that to happen without so much preassure or scrutiny to fight a particular guy

If they put in a good offer then I don’t see why it won’t be wilder

Eddie Hearn should be offering Tyson Fury the fight right now, 50/50. He’s not going to, because he believes Wilder is the easier fight and he still has the belt. I reckon Wilder/Fury will happen next year, hopefully in the UK this time.
With that said, Whyte must beat Chisora, and he’s finally deserving of the rematch. I’d take that fight, even more so if it were to give Usyk time to have a fight at HW before facing AJ later in 2019. That’s how I’d map it out in a best case scenario type of way.
If not Whyte or Usyk next, there’s only one guy I’d be happy for him to face, and that’s Ortiz.

Usyk will not be Joshua's next opponent, definitely.

Has Zhilei Zhang been talked about as a potential opponent for Joshua? This is the first I've even heard it suggested.

Last night's result was bad news for any top HW not called Joshua, Wilder or T Fury.
The clamour for Joshua to fight one of those guys will be huge, then whoever wins will almost have to face the fighter left.
This means the likes of Whyte, Ortiz & co potentially being locked out of the title picture until 2020, as Joshua is only 2x a year fighter.

Whyte, Ortiz or Miller will probably get a fight with one of those 3 guys before Next Summer. Only 2 of them can fight, and the other will fight somebody else.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if all 3 Fury, AJ AND Wilder fought somebody else before tangling with each other.

Same here.
Wishful thinking on the posters part I'd say.
They'll keep it in house if they can meaning Whyte/Chisora, Miller and Usyk. Pulev might get another chance. You'd hope public pressure would force them to deal with Wilder or Fury but I can't see that for April, they still have a lot of goodwill to get through with the Joshua fanbase first.

Can't see it. He must be 42/43 now or thereabouts ?
They'd fight him though if they could. He's old enough to carry less threat now. He almost spoiled the party last time.

Whyte, then a mandatory, then another mandatory, then another mandatory because the governing bodies will demand it, and Hearn can use that as an excuse for having to keep the titles.

Apparently he’s one of the wild cards Hearn mentioned and klitschkos manager said it won’t happen but vladmir said that he doesn’t speak for him so not sure I haven’t paid much attention to it so I may be wrong

I’m a little surprised that this thread has been created, since this topic has been discussed at length numerous times and the situation hasn’t changed.
Dillian Whyte will likely be AJ’s opponent for April 2019, with Kubrat Pulev being the next in line of the queue to face the Brit. You have to imagine that Oleksandr Usyk and Jarrell Miller will also be potential options for Anthony Joshua at some point in the near future, but not as soon as April 2019.
Dereck Chisora “might” become AJ’s next opponent if he defeats Dillian Whyte, but you have to imagine that this is a very unlikely scenario, because he’s a heavy underdog and Eddie Hearn may prefer to choose one of the other aforementioned names instead.
There’s no point in discussing the likelihood of AJ facing Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury, Luis Ortiz or anybody else as potential candidates for the April 13th fight date.

If they did get Klit out of retirement I’d be disappointed. Don’t want him risking his health for a dumb cash grab. Would come across as sly by Hearn to combat the lack of cooperation from Fury/Wilder.

The situation has changed, definitely. The match Wilder-Fury is/was extemely important for Anthony Joshua.

Definitely.
They'll try and make Joshua v Wilder for April but it will likely fall through due to purse splits.
Whyte rematch is a handy back up provided he beats Chisora.
