Scorecard Arithmetic Error - Wilder Vs Fury !!

Oh Dear,
Judge Robert Tapper cannot add up correctly!
His total for Wilder Should have been 112 not 110. His card was announced as 114 v 110, I cannot believe that nobody else has noticed this until now.
Whilst I understand the Split Draw wouldn't be changed by this, it is extremely concerning that professional judges can make an error of gravity.
I've contacted Quensbury promotions and asked them to lodge a complaint with the WBC from me, just a regular armchair boxing fan.

i have noticed this immediately after the scorecards were revealed.
this kind of mistakes happen way too often. this kind of mistakes and other, similar. i remember earlier this year a card in Poland where fighter A won all rounds (it was a 6 rounder) against fighter B and 2 judges of course had it 60-54 but one had it 60-54 for fighter B, it was a mistake but it still is kept as official result (at boxrec too). Szpilka was knocked down by Wach but one of the judges did not included that on his scorecard, same as in the Glowacki vs Vlasov fight one of the judged did not included a knockdown on Vlasov.

It's not Tappers error. It's whoever collates the scorecards between rounds

Yeah you're right! Boxing judges aren't selected for their expertise in boxing or intellect, they are selected for their connections.

I questioned it when I heard the announcement.. and it certainly isn't the first time this has happened... Check out Johnston/Castillo II
Johnston was originally declared the winner by Majority decision.
Several minutes later it was discovered that Judge Ken Morita's scorecard (originally 115-114 Johnston) had been added incorrectly and should have read 114-114, thus allowing Castillo to retain his title.
Castillo was notified when Johnston showed up at his dressing room to give back the belt.

Above the 110, there looks to be an ambiguous 11(2) number. It's sort of the black dress / white dress situation. It's obvious that it should be 112, though. Either way, Fury should've won on all three cards.

I remember Barrera vs Juarez 1 being announced as a draw in the ring, but they realized it was actually a Majority Decision win for Barrera after they'd gone off the air I believe.
That's the same thing that happened with the JLC vs Johnston 2 fight that JCS had mentioned, but even worse. Johnston believed he'd regained his Championship only to be told "Ahh jeez our bad, turns out you didn't win after all"
