draw was good for hearn

a draw was actually one of the best results for hearn/aj

-neither fury or wilder established there mandate for being the guy aj needs to fight
-wilder vs aj is no longer the clear big one no matter how wilder screams and the pressure if off aj a bit there
-the draw could mean rematch clause doesnt go into effect and so aj can now fight either next year
-fury is now a bigger fight for aj then if fury had been sparked as many expected
- a win over either fury or wilder means aj beats a guy the other couldnt

and if hearn really does want to protect aj and duck like some ppl believe, the lack of anyone winning last night and establishing themselves as the 'need to fight' will allow that to happen without so much preassure or scrutiny to fight a particular guy

And now Finkel has come out saying Wilder wants to fight Joshua.

well the fght showed wlders could defo lose to fury. maybe they thought fury was more beatable and want to go straght for the biggest guy out there before a possible loss

Defo a good draw for Hearn and AJ - It's worked out well for them - whatever they're up to.

The only cloud on their horizon is a rematch with Fury thrashing Wilder in a Wlad style stinker. Then Fury is pretty much 50/50 in negotiations, can't be avoided and AJ has the very real risk of being outboxed in a boring fight.

Fast-Eddie should be able to buy-out whatever options he thinks are best for his man, wonder how he'll play it ?

I reckon - take Wilder now on punishment wages from what he woulda had before.

It’s worked out well for everyone...no one is going into the Joshua fight with an L and even if both lose to Joshua they have the rematch with each other...and the cash for the rematch if one is them beats Joshua will be huge.

On the night of the fight someone mentioned King’s remarks after the Lewis Holyfield draw (which was a much worse decision by the way) about how everyone was so angry and we were just happy to be able to do it all over again.

I feel it was a bit of home cooking and normally that is the terrible thing about the sport.
However, ultimately I think it works well for everyone including generating huge interest.

Apparently Hearn's on his way to the state's to get the Wilder fight for Joshua... I'm absolutely disgusted... Wilder don't want no rematch, and Hearn's pissed down his leg knowing Fury would slap Joshua silly.... FUCCCCK each of them.

Before the weekend

it kind of felt like Wilder (and Fury) needed AJ
AJ was the man to beat etc and the money man
Wilder was apparently fighting a badly out of form bloke that had barely fought in 3 years.
Wilder needed to viciously beat Fury to have any chance against AJ

After the weekend
Neither Wilder or Fury need AJ at all, in fact the rematch is more anticipated than either fighting AJ
Fury is clearly the man to beat in the division, the Wlad win was no fluke in fact an inactive Fury was almost in career best form.
I would go as far as to say Wilder would be favoured over AJ too. AJ nearly lost to a hugely faded inactive Wlad and a much better younger Wlad was outclassed by Fury. Wilder gave a clearly very good Fury a hell of a fight.

If WILDERFURY2 is a classic, they can roll it back again and freeze AJ out
Both Wilder and Fury might make more coin then AJ will fighting "contenders", King vs King type match ups are much more appealing.

AJ might lose to one of these "contenders" and never have one of these mega fights lol
How is this beneficial for Hearn an AJ????

Fury and Wilder are legitimizing each other and AJ will be standing still. He doesn't have any dance partners to compare to Fury or Wilder!!!

lol wilders team is already taking about him wanting aj next and hearns on his way to the us apparently., i know it sucks to acknlowedge for the ppl who cant stand hearn/aj, but thats where the biggest money is, wilder and fury will make less vs each other then aj did vs takam, etc....and even the supposedly awful flat fee offer hearn offered wilder is more then hell likely have made vs fury

and lets not act like fury-wilder is now some epic colllosally huge rivalary, maybe see the commercial numbers first and how much it really got ppl interested

fury or wilder couldve stamped there ground and made themselves the clear man to aj but neither did it. wilders actually lost his position as the guy aj needed to fight and now has suffered a blemish as the favourite in his big ppv debut. i dont think his position has improved unless we see the ppv totally exceed expectations

He's got 3 belts and draws 90k. You need to have a rethink.

Definitely because it leaves him still with at least 2 potential superfights.

ya its just wishful thinking, seeing it from a lot of hearn/aj haters

please son, ajs the biggest draw in the division, has 3 belts and stands in the way of undisputed, and is #1 with nearly every major boxing publication or ranking system

ya totally irrelevant because fury and wilder fought to a draw

Before the weekend

AJ was a legitimate champ...

After the weekend

We all know they still actually belong to Fury...

AJ fighting lower level guys is already starting to get old and we all know it. Povetkin fight didn't sell anywhere near as quickly as previously...

US market is far more lucrative than UK if you can crack it
Before the weekend Wilder was fighting a faded washed up fighter..... Wilder vs Fury was a joke fight
After the weekend Wilder and Fury 2 is huge!!!!! Whatever 1 sold you can times the buys by 10!!!!!

The 1st fight numbers have no relevance on what the 2nd fight could do.....
This fight was supposed to be a walkover for Wilder and Fury was coming for a pay day
The interest wasn't big enough to put it in Vegas!!!!

FFS you must be crazy if you don't think the 2nd will be in Vegas and will be much bigger financially

These 2 guys are great characters, the build up for 2 will be huge!!!!!!

of course the first fight was relevant, if not even that many watched it the nature of the fight itself wont be such a big deal

wilders team is already talking aj and not fury, youd think everyone all around would be pumping on the rematch stuff if it were guarnteed to be that massive, neither wilder or fury were really that excited about it

I dunno what it is about Fury, but his fans seem to be more blinkered than pretty much anyone else’s. Why feel the need to constantly overstate his boxing ability / drawing power? Is it just a persecution complex or something? :maybe:

Apparently he's impressive, and is boxing masterfully just by standing there. To me masterfully boxing is outlanding a guy 2 to 1 or something like that.

He doesn't do that. He acts like a jackoff, prances around showboating, and is somehow seen as the slickest fighter to ever grace God's Green Earth based on nothing at all.

There is no scoring difference between prancing around the ring like an ass and doing nothing at all.

Wilder and AJ's teams are further than ever from agreeing to terms lol

Hearn and sky groupies like Johnny Nelson are claiming Wilder is now in a weaker position to negotiate lol

Wilder obviously won't be agreeing

Wilder clearly lost to Fury but scraped a draw by virtue of home cooking
Wilder knows he will be up against more than just AJ if he travels to the UK

Why go to the UK unless the price is right....

Will Hearn budge on the bottom line? FFS I doubt that very much

on the other hand wilder as favourite failed to beat a fury who hadnt faced a live body in 3 years, wilders team may have more doubts now and may want to fight the biggest draw in the division while there both undefeated. the draw vs fury means he and fury can fight again even if they both lose

Yeah.

I can hear it now

"We tried to get Wilder but if he thinks he's getting more than 20% after drawing his last fight he's kidding himself "

"Everywhere I go people ask me to make the rematch with Whyte. That's the fight the public want to see. And anyway, I really want to give Dillian a pay day, he's a ppv fighter"

Deontay doesn't sound to me like he is willing to buckle for less lol

He did poorly against Fury and got a draw, ffs if he does a little better he will surely get the W.
He will also make great coin taking atleast 50/50

Then he will be in a great position to make AJ buckle on the numbers.

Why take a low ball now from AJ ffs, especially when the cards will be heavily stacked in AJ's favour

If I'm Wilder, I do the rematch with Fury. He proved later in the fight that he can put the Gypsy King down which should provide him some additional confidence going into a rematch. However; I've learned that you can't count Fury out as proven in the first fight. I think the odds for a rematch favor Fury at this point.

As reported by ESPN: The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has opened odds on a potential Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder rematch. Fury (-120) is a slight favorite over Wilder (EVEN).
